Hey up everyone! Thank gawd it is nearly the weekend! What a hectic week!
Well just paid for the Car Tax...still no darn reminder, so went online and paid it anyway! I opted for the year as the 6 month worth would have gone to be the same time as the MOT.
Have managed to order a few bits for DD for Xmas so hopefully they will be delivered soon. May take a look about this weekend and sort out the last few bits. Have sorted the rest of the family's gifts so just awaiting those too. Last but not least will be the cat! Will get him a tin of tuna and stick a bow on top!
Can't believe it will be Xmas in 2 weeks! I think I will get paid before Xmas so need to not touch the money until the 27th when I would normally get paid! I should be getting an extra £100 or so for a special job I done at work back in August...and they have only just got around to sorting the money out!!! That will go straight to the Credit Cards or be out aside for Emily's Ski trip money...will have a think!
So chuffed only 4 more bank loan payments too...that's awesome!
Need to look at sorting out a food shop for Xmas. Won't be getting much extra food in as don't see the point as using Xmas as an excuse to gorge ourselves with food! Will only make myself sick!!!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
4 more payments is great Donna..and i echo the sentiment, i am so happy it is the weekend.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hello all,
Hope everyone is haing a nice weekend! I felt like I got zero sleep last night due to the darn cat clambering all over the bed, waking me up all the time! If I shut the bedroom door, he scratches until I let him in! Such a funny cat but I love him to pieces!
Have been looking at my cards today and have decided that I will aim for the Virgin one first. It is on zero percent at the mo, until my June statement. I have added it to my signature, it's at just under £3k. As soon as the bank loan is sorted I will allocate the extra payments to that, as well as anything I can save at the end of each month.
Will leave the other 2 cards going along paying the minimum payments and then see how I get on. It would be fab if I could get the Virgin one paid off for the June statement. It would be one heck of a task as we are talking 6 months but it would be great to get it out of the way, leaving the 2 bigger ones to sort out.
I have been checking my bank balance and making sure I have enough money for the last few Xmas pressies. Only have a few bits left and think I should be ok. Reckon I will use that extra £100 due at payday this month to go to Emily's spending money, just to get it out of the way really.
Rightoe I could do with a brew! Off to get myself a drink whilst I plan what to do this weekend...have the usual cleaning and food shop etc, but trying to work out whether or not I can be bothered to brace the Xmas shoppers in Bristol! Might go to the Mall later and have a nose, go late afternoon as it may be a little quieter and it's open till 9pm. Could then pop to Asda for the foodie shop and perhaps Cabot Circus first thing in the morning, to get anything outstanding out of the way! Need to have a think! Reckon it will be rammed everywhere!!!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hi Donner, have you done B!ngo Br!tain? You just deposit £5 of your own money and then you get given £5 free per day for 30 days...most of us have made a really good amount from it, I made about £150, its def worth a look as you could maybe throw any winnings at the V Card.0

B!ingo Br!itain's really easy - honest! Just register and deposit £5, then every day they give you £5 (for 30 days) to play on Bingo. If you do win, then you'll need to deposit some money so you have £20 altogether in there, but then you immediately withdraw. You can only withdraw once in 24hours, but luckily any unused bonus money carries over to the next day - you really must have a go.....we had a few wins!
I miss it now:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Thanks for the info MS! Sounds good...will have to take a looksy at that methinks!
Had a good weekend...managed to get nearly all the Xmas shopping out of the way so that is great! Didn't realise that shopping for teenagers is such a nightmare! Thank gawd won't have to do that for another year!!!
Anyway trying to get ready and motivated to go to work! This week shouldn't be too bad, then next week even better as everyone starts winding down for Xmas! Xmas lunch on Thursday so that will be nice! Hope everyone is well and will be back later! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Hey up everyone,
Hope all is well in DFW land! I have been busy and luckily not spending money!!! Have to pop out tonight and try and get a few stocking fillers for the madam as well as she wants to get her best friend a pressie so will try and sort that too. Providing that I keep the food spend low at the weekend (well as low as I can for Xmas week!) I should have some left over to pay towards the Virgin card! Forgot actually have one more gift to get so will get that asap and see what's remaining! Would be great if I can pay some off but no biggie if not as know it is Xmas!!! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Just found out get paid on the 22nd...Tuesday! Meant to get paid on the 27th but due to Xmas getting paid early. Must make sure don't touch that money before the 27th!!!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
