Hey up young Donna. Good luck with new diaryBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hey up KM and Bob!
How's tricks? All good I hope?
Gawd I am sooooo achey today! My whole top half hurts like mad! Probably still will tomorrow too...ho hum!
Still haven't managed to find the DD any presents yet! Oh well!
Have set myself up a google calendar, so hope to use this for budgetting and to make note of when all my DD / Bills get paid etc, so I can try and keep a head on what's going on!
Oooops better go as nearly burning tea...but hope to be back soon!!!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Heya all!
Day 2 was a NSD! Wicked! Hopefully today should be quiet spendwise apart from Emily's Kickboxing class. I also have to get out the remaining £100 payment for her Ski-ing trip. Soooo glad that's over and done with! She needs another £100 for spending money so will try putting a bit aside each month for that. Doubt she will spend it though so may get it back again, or some of it at least! Gawd knows what they would be spending it on anyway...they are up a mountain and have all food paid for so not really much to spend!
Have to sort out the car tax this month too. Should be about £125 for the year? I haven't had the reminder thing like last year, so if not here soon will go online and find out how to pay it...as don't think I need to wait for the reminder?
Best go and get sorted...see ya all later!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
If I were you, I'd get 6 months now and then 12 months in June when it's up for renewal again. Why pay 12 months at the most expensive time of year
Not very MSE I know, but it might make life easier this month0 -

Just got my reminder through today too - can't believe its been 6 mths since we bought the new car! - and trying to decide what to do. We got the 1st 6mths free with the car, but now can't decide whether to do 6 or 12.... if I do 6, the new tax comes at the same time as the MOT, and if I do 12, the new tax comes next Christmas - argh!!!

Nice to see you back Donna, I 'joined' your diary after IPTW, and wondered where you had been!

Hey up! Finally got to the computer now than DD is packed off to bed!
I had thought about the Macgirl, but like Sarah, that is the same time that the MOT is due! Doh! Mmmmm will have a think!Makes sense not to do it at this time of the year but would be annoying tie-ing in with the MOT! Why does that have to happen!!!
Dead chuffed as had to pop to Sainsburys in the way home from Emily's Kickboxing class but as I had told myself I only had a fiver to last me from Monday - Friday, I resisted the urge to put anything on my card! Done very well I feel! Felt a little odd not just flinging whatever I wanted into the basket and actually totting up the few bits, but I think that it has helped and if I keep on thinking this way, I can get back into the swing of debtbusting again!
That TV show was such a loada rubbish Sarah! Never heard anything after the TV appearance, kinda made me feel like I had been used to fill a 10 minute slotbut know that I can tackle this without them...as I have all you guys to help me!

Well think I have found a few pressies for Emily thank goodness! So will get on and order them asap! Few bits in the sales
Part of me was thinking about taking her out for the day to go shopping in Swindon as has lots of shops, but when I thought Petrol to the station and train tickets for us both, would work out at about £25 so soooo not worth it! Am sure to find a few bits in Bristol, but will be a quiet Xmas this year as whole family are feeling the pinch really!
