I noticed with most of the home shopping sites, Very Additions direct they taek the full amount and then refund it back...

However we bought something from Additions, got £30 off it went through fine, they took the full amount but no refund of the £30 back....How quickly do they normally come through or is it a case of it was refused at source?

Thanks, just wished it was refused at the start and then we could have ordered it from somewhere else...
  • Just used free postage (xx728) and 15% (xx587 for existing customer) to get 32gb ipod touch - worked out at 194.65 so great price. Possible 9% cashback through Topcashback too.

they work it to their convenience

I used a 15% off code on a electrical item it was accepted but wasnt showing on my email confirmation when I rang I was told call us when you get it well amend the price if your keeping it. Well been 3 weeks and everytime I ring get told well apply the discount then when I rang last night there were notes on my account to say the discounts refused as there was £50 off the fridge freezer. They should of told me this before so I could cancel the order.

  • Becareful guys - I used a £30 off code on a £70 item, got charged £70 and refunded £30 so I was happy.

Item arrived and was broken, so it's being collected but because it's a 'cash' account rather than a 'credit' account, they won't exchange the item. I had the choice to pay another £70 and order a replacement then and there and get refunded on my original purchase after the return had been processed, or get a refund now (well, after return had been processed) and then re-order the item.

I'm obviously not going to be able to use that code again now so no discounts for me if I want to buy the item again.

    ARGHHH!!!!!
