Hi Everyone,

I am hoping this will help when looking for a bargain before xmas.

I searched the vouchercodes website looking for deals so I could purchase my son the new Wii Sport Resort for xmas. I came across a code of 15 pounds off if I open an account with VERY.CO.UK if I spend over 40 pounds. I thought great.

I opened the account added 2 items to my basket and entered the code, which indeed did give me the 15 pounds off. I paid for the items on my debit card. HOWEVER, VERY.CO.UK HAVE TAKEN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF 49.99 FROM MY DEBIT ACCOUNT. I called the Customer Services and they told me its their T&C's and they will refund the 15 pounds to my VERY account once the order is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole point of looking for the codes was to get a bargain. I feel I have been totally shafted as I only bought 2 items as I had to purchase over 40 pounds to qualify for the 15 pounds off. So instad of paying out 39 pounds for the game, I have actually spent 49.99.

The money should & indeed does get refunded to your account, just not on the same day. It's generally 24 hours later. Check your statements. If you are a new customer, then you will be fine as you have complied with the T&C's of the offer.

My wife used the recent £30 voucher on a spend of £60 or more & initially got charged the ful amount, BUT she was then refunded value of the voucher code (£30) the day after.

In my eyes, the real problem with all these codes from Littlewoods, Very, or any of the other sites that they own (several - you can see they use the same layout & just re-skin with different graphics), is that they should program their site to only allow the use of these codes to those that were sent the offer. It's actually relatively easy for them to do so, but they do not as they want non-registrants to fall for the offer & so thereby spend money on their websites that they otherwise would not have done.
