I found a bed on Woolies website yesterday morning and went to order last night and it had gone from all of their websites. Called them this morning and they said they could not help me as they obviosuly no longer sold it.

However, I have spent ALL of this morning looking everywhere for the same bed and found it on Choice website - which is the same as Woolies, Very, Additions, etc... but it doesn't appear on any of their other websites, just Choice. It was £20 more than on Woolies but I used the 20% off code so saved £23 on it went through so here's hoping. I'll be happy to pay the £119 as my son has set his heart on this bed so we shall see.

Thought I would let you know it was accepted for a new customer who paid by card on the Choice website.

Oh, and 8% Quidco cashback too!!

Very not working for me, anyone else, I cna't get past signing up for an account, they want me to phone up?

Could somebody tell me what codes are ok to use on a first order please? :)

Choose to pay by credit/debit card and it will go through. Otherwise you are setting up a new credit account. I have used the 20% off one as new customer and paid by card.
  • Bought a wii fit plus and board from Very yesterday - used XX958 and got 20% off - not a first time user - and paid by card. Went through Topcashback who offer 8% cashback on the ex vat price.

Tried loads of other codes - another for 20% off, one for 15% off and another for free delivery. None of these work in addition to the 20% off code I used. I kept getting the message " a higher discount has already been applied", so they are not cumulative. Still, 20% off gave me the best deal I could find, so fairly happy. Pid £75.15 in the end including delivery charge.

Just an update for people who want to buy from Very. It would seem that the ZG019 code used for Woolworths' £30 off £60+ spend also works on Very's website. I've just used it to buy Wii Fit Plus from Very. Came in at £62.95 inc. P&P which is considerably better than the 20% off mentioned by silverflora above. Add in 8% from TopCashBack and it's the best price I could find and I've been looking for five days! This all assumes that they do actually refund the £30 onto the card on delivery day. Here's hoping!

Hope this is useful to others. :)

I don't think Very are right. I would ring Consumer Direct - I'm pretty sure the company who sold TV to you have to give you a refund (or repair) not the manufacturer.

Jelly Tots is absolutely correct; it's down to the retailer to repair, replace or refund the customer provided it's within the first 12 months. After that it's at the retailers descression, but most decent retailers will try their best to help (read John Lewis who I always buy large electrical items from as I feel their customer service is worth the slightly higher price). On this occassion it would seem that Very have sent you a faulty item and it's down to them to replace it. I suggest sending them an e-mail (so you have written proof of contact) stating that the TV is faulty and was on arrival and it's up to them to sort it out. Quote The Sale of Goods Act at them and tell them they have 14 days to replace the TV or refund your money in full. Do not accept a repair as it was faulty on arrival. Good luck! :)
  • Recieved my items today, though it supposed to be 10/01/10.

    I'm
  • Not complaining!!:)

I used the 20% off code with success on buying a fridge freezer today that they'd already knocked £100 off, so pretty pleased with that. They took a further 60 odd quid off, in addition to the £21 that Quidco are showing as giving me :money:

However I couldn't see anywhere in the how to pay bit that DIDN'T have you signing up with their credit account. It seemed like there was just one option and that was it. I did in the end but paid on my credit card so I don't have a balance there. Do I just write to them after I've received my delivery asking them to cancel the credit account?

thats good to know as i ordered a tv off them and when i checked the website it said order despatched, delivery date supposed to be 12/1/10 so it could look like we get it earlier???
Can't think of anything funny to put here!
