Very (Very.co.uk) discount codes thread 1

I used the £30 off code on my first order and confirmed and paid online, the amount i paid was the discounted amount.
Then my bill arrived and i had been charged the extra. Also my bank statement stated i had been charged it aswell.
In the small print it APPARENTLY said at the time that you are charged the full price and then when all items are dispatched you are paid back the discount onto your card.
One of my items was low on stock so it is on hold. Lets see if they are true to their word when it is eventually dispatched!

The offer was very unclear!

The £30 off code is for opening a new account when you spend £60. Who can they be for if not new customers? They cannot email it to you as then you would be an existing customer..... surely?

The last time it happened was because someone had given out a code that was to be used just by them but everyone used it.

It would be useful, for the future, if people could post on here just where they have seen the offer code advertised (leaflet, email, website, etc..) when they post the code so people can decide for themselves if they use it or not.

I've used the code but I'll be happy to pay full price for the bed I want so I've not checked tbh.

This is true, they charge the full amount and then refund the discount for some reason.

Noticed while shopping on Very.co.uk that you get 10% off if you open up a credit account and pay on credit - however the code still works if you pay by cash.

just bought a nintendo Wii. tried the 20% code, it didn't work... but the ZG103 code did so only had to pay £149.99...

I wanted to order a Lipsy dress from Very for my 21st (was £69, down to £34.50). I put other stuff into my basket and used the £30 off code so got my dress, leggings, cardi and some nail varnish for £31! Very happy!

2) How do you get free postage on top of the other discount code?... are those codes only for returning customers, or do you enter with a comma as you would at Debenhams - I have tried twice & can't get free postage on a new account.
