I do agree with you here, i managed to get a couple extra and i have kindly sent them to two mser's on here who were unable to get one, i have made no money i have just charged them £20 plus the courier charge minus the quido credit, I do buy and sell on ebay, however wouldnt lower myself to try and sell them on when i know there are people on here frantically trying to get one. If everyone boycotted the ebay sellers that do this, then they wouldnt make a huge profit, but trouble is people are so desperate they will pay the high prices.
All my local stores are now sold out so I cannot help anyone else out. Sorry

I don't really understand why people are selling them on ebay, when I ordered the system crashed at payment and I ended up with a duplicate order (didn't realise the 1st one had gone through) I was panicking because the p&p to ebay would make it expensive, taking into account ebay fees it seemed like the best option would be to return them to local store for a refund, i've since managed to sell them at rrp to friends but I wouldn't have ebayed them, I can see now I wouldn't have got stuck with them as so many here are desperate, what I don't get is someone paying £50 on ebay when boots had them at £50, free delivery & advantage card points. Just goes to show how hype, advertising and short supply makes people lose all sense of reality.

After reading some other posts about missing items, I very carefully opened my box (by moving the plastic to the side as suggested by another MSE'er) and am very relieved to report that all 11 items are present. As mine was bought in store, I am wondering if those with missing items were all bought online? In which case, perhaps the fault lies with Boots and their despatch department and not S&G? Just a thought...

I posted on Friday because my sister who was away had requested on of these hatboxes so I had tried and failed to get one for her online.
She returned from Paris today (not by Eurostar as planned ) she managed to get a ferry booking instead.
Then her luck changed she called me within a couple of hours of arrival from my mothers local Boots (a tiny little store in Littlehampton if that helps anybody) to say they had the hatboxes and did I want one because she was getting one for herself (I didn't had just spent all Friday morning online trying to get one for her ) - she brought herself one and one for a friend who was coming over this evening as a xmas pressie and on arrival her friend presented her with a gift (another hatbox)
My brother in law is really hoping this stuff smells as good as she says it does!:D
  • None left in the Maidstone, Chequers Centre store this afternoon when I went in to collect my online order.

I've just checked the contents of my Hatbox and the Motherpucker is missing :( Apparently it's supposed to be a limited edition colour, too

Mine too!! But I emailed the CS and they are more than helpful:T

Lucky she got home, I heard on the news some might not get home for christmas. How funny (not for you though :( ) that she got one as a gift from a friend, have you got one for yourself after all your effort? I was planning on trying mine out tonight, then dh just said mmm I should wrap that stuff up for you really, I'm like erm, ooh, well err actually no you can't!! I really want to see if it was worth the sleepless night, it looks fab but I need to try it. Maybe he can wrap it after I've had a bath :rotfl:

Oh, sorry, I was not asking somebody to get me one, please accept my apologies if it came across that way. I just do not like "mean" people. As much as I would like one, I can do without, its no biggie. I just got very cross when I read the posts from people on this site who wanted one so very much, trying every way to find one and cannot get one due to other peoples greed. If I had some I would bl00dy well give them away on here rather than sell them on Ebay. Utter selfishness!! But that is just my opinion. Though I do hope that the ones people have sold on Ebay are found, when delivered, to be missing items and it comes back to bite the sellers on the bottom!

That said, I am sorry for the MSE people who have bits missing :o

I'll get off my soapbox now, thanks for the entertaining thread and I hope all those that want one do manage to get one. I've given up now so that is one person less chasing them. Good luck
