Had a lovely time thanks! We went to our favourite caravan site near Annan in Scotland; kids love it. We've been touring for a few years now, and while we were there we were offered a seasonal pitch (we had our name down on the waiting list), so our tourer is now 'parked' up there, and all set up. It means that we can go up whenever we like; cost a bit up front, but works out much cheaper in the long run. Not only do you get cheap, unlimited holidays, but it's secure storage too.
Most of our holidays are caravanning in Scotland or Isle of Skye anyway, so it makes sense to use it as a base camp, rather than hauling the caravan all the way from the North East every time; we can still go touring in it whenever we want to though.
Anyway, enough rambling
; hope your move is going well! This space for rent

Sounds lovely!!! my grandparents live in scotland, we used to go stay in a caravan place in perth when i was little...
Move went well, kinda! We've no sofa no money to buy one lol so the living room is bare! hallways are full of things that need to be put in rooms, but thats the job for this weekend, then get the garden sorted!
But it's liveable, we've got our bedroom and kitchen sorted and are just working on settling in.
Going for pay as you go internet in the hope that it will help save pennies £15 for 30 days ,but as it's no contract we've not commitment, if we're short one month it's a luxury we can do without.
We're not getting a landline this time round and i'm tempted to get a freeview dish rather than sky, we've got terrestrial atm and OH hasn't complained about the lack of sky tv yet so maybe he'll accept freeview instead! That'll save some more pennies too

Soooo been in the new house a week now, finally starting to settle in. Need to get back into the money saving swing of things, it's hard when you move cause you realise there are so many things you need! We've realised we have no toaster, no kettle, so have to use the grill and hob - think this might be wasting money...
Once we work out exactly what our bills are going to be like it will be easier.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hi Bramble,
Sorry I haven't posted; been very busy just lately. I've been promoted to Chair of the Governing Body at youngest daughters school; takes a lot of time and effort, but very worthwhile! Also been away at caravan at weekends
Glad things are going well for you and OH, and that you're settling in nicely! :j
Tesco, ASDA and Argos do value ranges of things like toasters, steamers and kettles (bought a toaster from Tesco for work for less than a fiver a while ago), so shop around to get you started!
We don't have Sky any more either; Freeview through an aerial, or Freesat through a dish will do just as well.
When is your Race for Life by the way? Hope your training is going OK!This space for rent

We're are still without a kettle and a toaster- but seem to be coping with out them,
This is the start of paying bills again!
I've paid out rent, our council tax, credit cards, water and OH's mobile phone.
Left we've got gas and electric, my phone bill and insurance.
Hopefully things will bob along nicely.
Work is taking over my life at the moment! it's all i think about! Working hard because it's my probationary review next week and i really want to pass! I'm planning on sticking here for 2 years and then looking to get a PA job in the city to earn to big bucks and then move to devon.
Training has come to a little bit of a stand still! I need to get back into it, 7 weeks to go!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500
