Hi Bramble,
Just wanted to say keep up the good work! :T
Did you have any luck using Quidco? We use it quite a lot for shopping around for stuff, and the cashback is very welcome; especially when it's for things you would normally get anyway!
Can't wait to hear about your money-making plan; hope it works out for you!

Thnks Carlos! not really had much success with quidco...can't quite seem to get it to work!!
Well my tax rebate has come a month earlier and i shall be putting this amount to good use.
OH has hidden my credit card so i've no temptation to use it. Will pay £100 off tomorrow and possibly more in the coming weeks.
Next account will be paid off tomorrow in full.
I have applied for (and been accepted) a new bank account -no overdraft :-) So shall get paid into the account in the future and start making a dent on the lloyds over draft too.

Ooo, I'm officially no longer a newbie. I've been lurking on here for a year or two, while following the MSE way, but only just started posting. Now I've got my first star :j
Sorry, just had to share that

My next account is paid off! One less bill every money.
Just paid my minimum amount for my CC - want to wait till everything else has been budgeted for till i put more money onto it. Hopefully my new account arrives soon so i can transfer everything over, then i can work on my overdraft too.
Food shopping should arrive today. Never online shopped before so lets see how that pans out!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Spent far too much yesterday - in the region of £100 on nothing pretty much.
It's out of my system now though, time to be sensible again.
Got enough food for nearly two weeks so should only need to do 1 more big shop in Feb. Then it's just the fresh items to stock up on once a week or so.
Online shopping was a great success in that i stuck to my list. Might have to keep it up, it will really help me stay on buget. Just need to try and get a cheaper delivery day than Saturdays ! Will start planning the next shop..
Meal Planning is helping loads.
OH gave me a cheque for £120 this week, but i need to wait for his new account to come through before I can cash it, if i put it in the Lloyds one it's only going to get taken straight away, He's going to write them a letter to try and set up a reduced payment plan for his loan while he's not earning so much.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hi Bramble,
Well done on the food shop!:T As you say, meal planning, then making a shopping list to suit, really helps. Downshifting from normal brands to supermarkets own / value range can make a big difference too.
Have you had a look on the Old Style board for ideas? This space for rent
