EEeeeeeeeewwwwwww!!!! Sorry, gross! I woudnt be happy finding a big valve in my pastie-yuk.

I had to eat heart, liver, tripe, kidney, trotters, tongue (still looking exactly like when the cow had it), sweetbreads/sweetmeats, black pudding etc - all of it. My dad would eat absolutely anything meat.

Been a veggie now for 16 years
icon7.gif(cant even look at liver or tripe now) wonder why, hmmm......

I thought valves etc was classed as offal and is only fit for dog food, not human consumption.

I do know alot of things can be ground up and added in there.

I also saw a great tv prog recently where ppl who work in meat factories were taking the bits that should have gone in the bin and selling them to butchers shops, restaurants and take aways at bargin prices.

they even set it up that one of the crew sold normal meat -but nobody knew this and most of the places he visited bought meat without any checks as to where it came from, inclusing some very expensive restaurants.

also to shock you - blood and gelatin (ground up bones and all the waste bits made into a sticky glue)
are commonly added to wine & beer.

    enjoy

while were on the subject of ground up animals most toothpastes contain the ground up bones of dead animals as the calcium part of their ingredients

instead of starting a new thread: what would you do after buying free range eggs and cracking one open then a chick falls out!!!

I was hung over the pan for ages.

I'd chuck it in the bin and crack another egg. I've never had a chick in an egg, but I often get fertilised eggs though at a much earlier stage.

There's a Phillipino delicacy called 'baluut' which is basically a boiled egg complete with chick inside  . I won't post a pic ... :undecided

if you buy toothpaste with dead animal bits it always says
    do not swallow.
    I wonder why.

I switched to kingfisher toothpaste as it has no animal bits in it, is enviro friendly, non toxic and it can come without flouride.

back to the meat - I dont think offal is any better or worse than steak, when i heard my doctor tell me about the maggots in the fridge & best steak experiment I was sick for ages.

I cant stand chicken periods either (eggs)
