Thanks Austin, my order was delivered yesterday! over the moon with it, some of the boxes were a bit battered but I can't really complain, everything was in one piece at least
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • Well I rang customer services and it appears that my parcel was damaged at the depot so never got to me,hence the refund.Shame M&S couldn't let me know.
Oh and the cheeky beggars kept their delivery charge:eek: while I got nothing!!!!

How on earth can they charge you for delivery if it wasn't delivered to you? Phone 'em back, tell them you didn't even get chance to refuse the delivery so you want all of your money back.

I would just get refund on beer set instead of replacement and then buy something else as although it means you will have to go out and look for something else at least the person getting the present wont have to wait til after xmas to get it.

I took a Wine and choccies set back to a store yesterday, and was given the full price of £20, in a credit note...I only paid around £2 for it........so it greatly reduces the price of my other stuff.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Never buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!!

Blimey, I don't think I would get away with that.

Last time I sent hubby to take back a scarf. He had a copy of the email showing price paid, but they wouldn't accept it & he had to return the next day with the delivery note.

I had received 10% off my order..ordered several items... & when she refunded hubby she refunded price I had paid, but with the 10% off the whole order.

(That is I bought the scarf for £15, on a total order of approx £49. I therefore received a refund of £15 minus the £4.90 discount from the entire order, so even though in effect I paid £13.50 for the scarf, I was only refunded £10.10
Not a happy bunny but too much of a round trip to repeat the journey for a third time.)

3 out of my 5 items were damaged (2 really bashed boxes and 1 broken cocktail glass) and I took them back to the shop, they refunded a percentage of what I paid and the delivery charge.

I then came home and emailed M and S as i was so annoyed by the whole thing. They sent me a £5 gift card which was nice but i would have rather had all the items intact as they were pressies and to be honest that was the whole point in getting them delivered at home, rather than having to go into town to get a refund! ( I managed to get 5 items for £16ish).

...........but does of course greatly increase the risk of a theft charge later on if M&S link the two transactions.
