Is anyone here missing 8 stainless steel napkin rings? I have them! I'd have preferred the wine I ordered but 'hey ho'...

My order was cancelled and I recieved a refund of £5 and £5 credit as good will gesture. I re-ordered 4 beer sets used codes and credit and got charged £21. Arrived today as well as orginal order which they had cancelled . Beer sets all damaged in new order so rang up and recieved refund of £17 because I'd used the codes. Didn't mention that I'd also recieved the orginal order which they cancelled and refunded. not sure what to do here as beer in this order is also broken!!! Fiz is intact though.
Think I'll sit tight to see what M&S will do.

Anybody else had the same thing happen? it's all bizarre !!

Oh dear....just finished unpacking some of what I thought was ok so had left in the box for now......1 glass broken....wine rack bent & damaged!!! Feel another M&S email coming on!!!

Update: Got an email back saying they are sending out a replacement glass (hope it doesnt break!!) and to call them re: wine rack. So I called this morning and spoke to a v.nice man......he said he would refund me for the wine rack but then said it wasnt letting him refund £15.00!!! I then said oh thats cos I used some discount promo's on it......ahhh he said. Well I will refund u £3.50 and give u a £10.00 credit on your account.....is that ok?? Oh yes thats fine!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Then he apologised for all the probs I have had with my order!! Oh dear....I feel like I have been v.naughty. :o

Heres whats happened to me so far:
Order No 1: Beer set broken glass everywhere - called up got a replacement sent , delievery charge refunded. and £5 credited.
Order No 2: arrived 2 days late after sitting on the van for 2 days arrghh. However again the beer set in this order also smashed to pieces. Very dangerous. Very angry so called them. Again getting another beer set delivered, £5 credit and delievery refunded. Also they are contacting the delivery driver as he just knocks and leaves my order on the doorstep - as he obviuosly new it was broken.
Order 3: The beer replacement set (from order 1) arrived safely today, even though driver still did not knock. But Very pleased it was not broken!
Order 4: (This will be the replacement beer set from (order 2), I am still waiting on delivery. Hopefully willl be all o.k.

I feel M&S have been great with their cusotmer service. I also believe that it does not matter what price you got the item(s) for - if the item is broken, then you should call and complain. You should get the product in tact everytime.

Good old M&S - I got my order an hour ago yay!!! :j.
It was all securly wrapped in bubblewrap and thick brown paper except for the cocktail glasses which were just covered in a clear plastic bag (yet the most likely to break imo) but still all intact so im a very happy bunny right now :D:D:D.

Many thanks Austin....... I would love to marry you too but my OH is watching me write this so will leave it to the others for proposing ;).

But I do love you!!!
  • One of my beer sets is smashed - in fairness they used 2 layers of bubble wrap, plastic bag, and thick brown box.to pack it.... so someone must have been realy clumsy with it !

Has anyone taken things back into a M&S store to get replacements ?
I just thought it would be quicker, safer and presumably cheaper for M&S rather than posting out a replacement.
