M&S price glitch: 75% off alcohol gifts!

The deliveries are down to the area, there are different warehouses and when you place an order it gets sent to the nearest depot to you for packing. If the depot is out of stock then they wont get 1 from another depot they wait on another order getting delivered there of it then they go out to the people waiting. The orders are done 2 ways, some they let the in stock items go first then send the oos items once they arrive and sometimes they wait till everything is in stock then send it all out at once. So its not a case of whoever ordered first should get theirs first and who ordered last will be waiting last. It just all depends on what stock is at your nearest depot and which way they work their orders. But the fact that some people have had their orders delayed shouldnt be complaining as it still shows m&s are honouring the glitch but just waiting till everything is in stock so it can get sent out at the 1 time.
I worked in m&s at the ordering desk so from personal experience I know this is how they work

I'm not bothered whether you keep telling everyone about your £800 order or not but personally, if I had made an order that large (which I wouldn't) I would be far too embarrassed to admit it :rolleyes:

I ordered 3 things and like many others will probably not get them, but hey ho, that's the way it goes.

It's entirely up to you whether you want to display your failings on a public forum. These glitches are great when they work and I don't expect everyone to place tiny orders but £800 ??. Pure greed.

why would i be embarrassed to admit it
we have all placed orders and have all took m&s for a ride ripping them off so if i should be embarrassed then so should you .come to mine and have some of these gift sets bet you would not say no :beer:

That's a very kind offer but no thanks.

It is entirely the fact that glitches do involve a certain amount of "ripping off" of big companies that makes some of us hold back and only try to gain a little from the glitches. I call it not taking the p****

I think its also a matter of intent. There are some of us who have a "well, if i could get those 3 or 4 for autie elsie, iris & dorothy that would be great" and those whose eyes glaze over and just want, want, want, more, more, more....

no eyes did not glaze over just brought some items for school and church and family and friends o and yes i might just keep a few for my self

Mine too was a very early order, I caught this thread just as it had been posted, before the OP edited to add the codes, although I did use a couple I could find. My order has been split & new estimate is 20th.

Awww princess, I must confess to feeling the same. Everything was in stock when I placed my order, a choice of over 20 items. I was rather hoping they were a little too busy to update my email & maybe I would receive a knock on my door today, but sadly, not to be.
I'm not holding out too much hope now...I'm expecting my order to be messed with again and/or cancelled. At least I suppose it will stop me refreshing 'my account' hundreds of times a day.
