M&S price glitch: 75% off alcohol gifts!

I agree, i ordered pretty earlier in the morning and only a teeny order, im a little annoyed that lager later orders have been dealt with first, they should be dealt with in the order they were placed, thats the only fair way.

Hi all,
I placed my order at about 2am on the morning of the glitch as I was working nightshift and happened to stumble across this thread when it was only 2 or 3 posts old. My estimated delivery immediately showed up as 08/12 which has now been delayed until 15-18th following an email this morning which I see other people have also had.
The annoying thing is that others who have put orders in (both greedily bigger and later) than some of the earlier ones are getting orders sent sooner. What's more I placed a second order at about 03:30am for some nurses, who were also on night shift, who live in the same area etc, and their order was been fully processed and despatched.
I'm not too disappointed if I end up receiving nothing because it was quite a crazy deal and M&S have done well to honour some of it, albeit probably at the expense of someone's job. Plus it's mostly alcohol which wont do most of us any good anyhow- and I know all about dealing with people with gastrointestinal bleeding over the festive season.
However it is somewhat aggravating that M&S don't seem to have prioritised the orders with any regard to the time at which they were placed!

Yep, got the email this morning with dates from 14th to 18th december so will have to probably go shopping in the last week if they don't arrive.

Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

just keeping my fingers crossed. Oh, I ordered early on day of the glitch and there were 10 items, original date 8th. I live in Gloucestershire.

I think the ordering / delivery thing is based on locations (where you live in the UK)?

well, after giving up hope on mine - about 5 small orders all showing not yet dispatched, a few items have now been paid for and changed to dispatching soon. These are not complete orders, one has just one item changed, the other has 3 out of 4 items for dispatch, but i am not complaining! The delivery date is the 20th - so i hope it doesn't get put back!

My order arrived safely a day early yesterday. I suspect there's going to be many teachers etc who are totally fed up with Festive Fizz by the end of the Christmas holidays.

What's "fair" got to do with anything? We're all trying to get away with exploiting an error which will have cost M&S tens of thousands (at the very least) - we're lucky any of the orders have been honoured tbh.

Feeling sorry for the guys who ordered early and still dont have anything yet. They should do the orders in order. Is it possible that something is OOS and thats why peoples have been put back Maybe they are expecting more in on 18th? Just a thought.

My oh got the same email but delayed til the 20th and he ordered around 2am! Also the prosecco has been taken off his order so at least you still have that. His order has also been split into 3 deliveries now and the cost is going up every time! :eek:
EDIT: On the plus side the festive fizz part of his order has been dispatched.
EDIT 2: Actually ignore me his order has actually gone down in cost as the cocktail shaker has disappeared!
