    5 out of 5: "Bargain!"
Date: 4 December 2009 Rated by Buyer: Mr C.

I think Mr C. may be in for a rude awakening when he tries to install it!!!

The negative comment left by Max's Secondhand Store has been removed. Maybe the seller would only refund them too if the negative comment was removed?!

Seems like Max fell for that ruse hook, line and sinker! Once feedback has been deleted, feedback cannot be re-instated. I wonder if Max did get his money back?

I am certainly getting my refund from the seller, but that is because I stood up to them and proved their fraudulent activities.

I will keep an eye open on Amazon in case they try to resurface under a different guise.

It wasn't a criticism of you personally or your actions! You seem to have approached this in a reasonable way.

It was a criticism of the "avoid all marketplace sellers" line! Which wasn't said by you.

I think I may well avoid all market place sellers that have no feedback!

I have also learned (from ebay experience) that even sellers with good feedback are not honest when you deal direct via their own website!

I've brought lots of second hand books from Marketplace with no problems at all.

In fact the only time I thought of complaining the guy sent me two books on the subject instead of one.

You wanted to complain because he sent you two books when you only paid for one?

Or, do you mean that he sent you a second book for free when you indicated you may complain?

Why not? What were you selling?

I was selling about 8000 different products on there, quite a variety.

Unfortunately, Amazon match the product you are selling to the barcode you provide to them. They don't always get this right so the seller ends up sending you the wrong thing.

They also use the description from one supplier and list the prices from all the others. Here is the problem with 3 suppliers:

    Supplier 1 : Folders [Pack of 5] : £5
    Supplier 2 : Folders [Pack of 5] : £4.99
    Supplier 3 : Folders [Pack of 20] : £17.99

It doesn't look like a problem when listed like that above. But when Amazon use the description as Pack of 20 and the best price as £4.99, can you see the problem? Remember that the description can change every day depending on new sellers signing up, stock levels of suppliers etc...

Does Amazon help the sellers in this situation? Not at all. Their best advice to me was to check the descriptions were correct every day and take the listing off on those where Amazon are using the wrong description. On EIGHT THOUSAND products - Seriously!

Then when I cancelled my account because of complete lack of help from Amazon (and it was costing my business about £100 a month just to be on there), they still manage to have the time to email and phone within a few days trying to get me to sign up to their fantastic selling opportunity!

From these experiences, I would never buy from Amazon marketplace again. The only exception would be the 'Fulfilled by Amazon' ones, however Amazon charge such high rates for these, you are often better off going to other websites anyway.

Two more non-existent companies (I checked Companies House register) selling Windows 7 disks (without boxes). I think all three businesses below are run by the same person(s) who run tvc9uklimited.

Notice the feedback below for mnfisher3

He/she states they received OEM version of Windows 7 Ultimate from Chelsea Computers Ltd (instead of Windows 7 Home Premium Family pack). Interesting, because I also got an OEM Ultimate edition (fake) when ordering Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack from tvc9uklimited!!!

Also note that Burn2351 says he goods were lost in post. That happened with me too! Delaying tactics on behalf of a seller who is not likely to be around very long!

All the indications are that Chelsea Computers Ltd is run by the same people who run tvc9uklimited! Both are fake companies selling fake products!
