Has anyone else's hamster got metal on the side that you can feel sticking out under the fur? You can feel a lot more of the metal on one side than the other, it's not sharp but would it bother you if you were giving it to a 4 and 5 year old?

Just wondering whether to return it or if it would be OK.

I dont know what you have but all i have is whats written in my signature, everything else can wait till after xmas. Unless i can get it at RRP.

These are being shared between my DS who is 7 and my DD who is 2 and loves them.

You're doing a lot better than me - zilch!
I've got so many orders with companies but despite buying when 'in stock' thanks to this thread, they never seem to be dispatched  hence my desperation!
  • Most people have been told to wait till friday or monday - to see if it arrives.

I wonder why there refunding some straightaway and then telling others to wait???

My thoughts exactly.... still waiting on my response from TRU, hopefully it will be tomorrow

My husband uses Gumtree as he is a Car-holic... Honestly his insurance company questioned his motives stating that he was like some sort of dealer haha, anyway he has always found it safe etc :)

Thanks :) so he buys cars from there?! And I'm worrying about buying a hamster :rotfl:

That gives me hope that it still might turn up.

    Re the "vultures" on ebay.

Granted, whilst there are some who are multiple selling, take this into account:

I had two of the numnums hamsters, and only needed one, the only option for me to sell the additional on was on ebay.

The starting price was 99p, the end price was £20 plus £3.50postage.

Now, the hamster cost me £10, the postage originally for the hamster was £3 (it was £6 for both hamsters, so allocating half to this one!), the cost of the packing (I brought a box so it was secure) was £2.39, the cost of first class recorded postage was £2.89, ebay fees were £2, paypal fee was £1. Coming to a grand total of £21.28 in costs,

So this "vulture" made a whole £2 profit! woooo!!

Just thought I'd share if you all thought £10 of those £20 Ebay hamsters was profit!!

  • Aaaaaaargh! This Hamster Bug Hurts!

I've placed 3 seperate orders with TRU - one on the 25/11 and two for different items on the 27/11 and not one of them have been delivered    this is despite emails informing me that they had all been despatched.

Am a very fed up Twylite - with a huge dose of Hamsteritis and 2 darn hamsters and a sleep dome/surfboard misssing in action.
