Ha, ha, description on an ebay listing for a ball:
Although this toy is new it WILL NOT come with the box (unfortunately my cat destroyed this)! The ball is still in the plastic wrapper and will be bubble wrapped to prevent damage in the post.
Hmmmm obviously decided it was worth more on eBay than to their child eh!tut tut

If you mean the beds and carriers then you may be lucky and find the odd few here and there but basically there are hardly any at all.

Not directed at you, but if single sellers are not making money o ebay they should sell to others at RRP or even with £2 markup to someone who really needs them.
I know this wasn't directed at me, but in my case, should I have sold at RRP I would effectively be giving the hamster to someone for about £1.50 after all costs:
a: I wasn't expecting two hamsters the same and more than one hamster cost me more postage so I will apportion some of that cost at least..;
b: I had to buy packaging for posting the hamster to the other person
c: I had to pay postage to get the hamster to the other person.
I think it's quite fair to ask for the costs of getting said hamster to another person and also the actual cost of the thing in the first place!!0 -
I've said this before, but I think that the retailers who sell way above RRP are far worse than any of the ebayers. They're already buying at probably £5 per item, so selling at double the RRP is out of order.
I would hazard a guess that 80% of the ebayers are people selling a couple of spares (me included) to make a few extra pennies for Christmas. It's the same with anything on ebay - everyone's on there to make money - it's an auction site. I (personally) have no problem with people sticking ridiculous BIN on their items - I just wouldn't buy them! Even if I had no alternative, I still wouldn't pay over RRP, but that's just me. I'd stick with what I had and talk my DDs round.0 -
Good morning everyone.
I don't have a problem with anyone selling spares or even if they bought an extra to sell on to help pay for the high priced accessories they are after.
My gripe is with the ordinary people who are not registered as a business who stormed the shops like they were taking part in Dale Wintons Supermarket Sweep and proceeded to fill their trolley with 15 - 20 hamsters as has been reported by many.
These are the greedy opportunists who have helped create a short supply for people in the shops and who have then made a nice tax free profit by selling them on ebay for three times the rrp. If you buy to sell then you should register as a business.Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
