I'M BACK.Have been netless for 2 weeks. My kids absolutely loved their hammies and havent stopped playing with them. We had a party on xmas day night and once all the kids went to bed the adults decided to have hamster wars. Placing bets on which hamster would win over a set distance. It was so funny and so much more fun than the usual poker game. Cant wait till the new ones come out.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

my DD got it caught in her hair too, and i had to resort to scissors

i was crying, as she suffers from alopecia, and it managed to rip out a chunk (lived up to his name lol) which had only recently grown back

i agree the off button is in such a place, that when you want to grab hold of the hammie, you keep turning it back on, which wasnt helpful - tbh i wouldnt say its an off button, more of a sleep button, because as soon as you touch it, the hammie is back in action

  • our dd also got her hair stuck, it was awful and we nearly had to resort to scissors but fortunatley we manage to get the hamster out. Whenever dd wants to play with the hamsters she asks us to tie her hair up.

  • For those with broken hammies , we tried changing the batterys but no luck.
So today we took the two tiny scres out of the actual motor that you take out to replace the batterys , and then replaced them and Mr S is now working fine again.
If you look at the motor it has two metal connectors at the front and these attach to two little springs inside the hamster , make sure these are aligned also.
But ours started just by purely undoing the two tiny screws and putting them back in.
No need to replace them yet :j
I have to say they have been a hit here , if you haven't bought any yet i would leave the ball etc and the beds , carriers  (given what i paid for them) and get the house and add ons for that.
Still wondering when play may get my car in !!

  • Anyone know where I can get the funhouse at it's retail price of £19.99? or have I been at the wine too early haha!
  • May have been asked before but is there a trick to getting the hammies to go off the wheel unaided? Mine end up stuck on their sides
  • Mr Squiggles is no more - our dog got hold of her whilst we were out and chewed her to bits!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we on second lot of batteries now in Chunk - going through them pretty quick.

Oh and yesterday moved the whole lot upstairs to sons bedroom and noticed that we had put alot of it together the wrong way (well OH had) now having taken time (myself) to put it all together chunk is running around much easier, I notice that he pauses quite a bit ie when coming down the slide he stops and then starts again - think this is normal though.

What is everyones favourite add on? mine is the wheel, think its great, oh and mine both (when Mr squigs was alive) could get off themselves, in about 3 stages.
  • well i am not a happy bunny today after the long struggle of getting 2 hammys for my little 3 yr old for xmas, this morning i saw that 1 of the hammys Pipsquek had a crooked nose, so i tried to click it back into place & now the nose has completely come off & we cannot fix it :( have tried & tried, our son hasnt even used it much either, gutted, anyone else have this problem?

you can pre-order it from the find-me-a-gift website, it is 19.99 and due back in stock on 18 Jan ... hope that helps !!

Incredibly we are still on the original set of batteries inspite of the fact they are dd's favourite toy ... she plays with them more than anything else. Jilly is still our favourite, she does random quirky things ... so cute !!
