Hi,
I have found a source of hamsters that you can ring up, reserve, then collect - Fenwicks!
Just ring up a Fenwicks (if there is one near you) and ask for the Toy Department. If they have the hamsters in stock (and stock arrives about 6pm ish) then they are happy to reserve any for you for 24 hours for you to collect.
Did this yesterday with the Newcastle store for my Mum - she collected today and was well chuffed! :j
They will let you have up to 4 of the hamsters, not sure on the playsets tho.
Hope this is helpful to someone!
Cheers,

Well I think my thoughts behind that were also that some people selling on ebay, whose listings are not going well, or they are panicking that they are not going to get enough and the listing is due to finish, may well post the item on here as a bargain to quickly get some interest and push the price up (i'm not referring to those that give an item number out of disbelief or for interest). Although MOST people posting this sort of info, are doing it just to try and help others, there are quite a few people on here that are clearly advertising their own listings or that of their friends. For example, one person a couple of weeks ago, kept mentioning what are bargain something was as it was still 99p, however, the auction still had a couple of days to run, which was a bit odd as it would clearly increase in 2 days. Out of interest, I looked back through some of their previous posts, and they always gave numbers for ebay listings by one particular ebay ID. There were another 3 people (or may be the same person with 3 MSE IDs) that kept referring people to listings made by people or a shop in a specific area of the country. Cynical, may be? But I don't think it takes too much brain power to work out what some are doing...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
I wonder if the new hamster stuff available after xmas will cost a bit more given that most people are keen to buy more stuff and ebay and other inflated retailers have demonstrated that people are willing to pay more?0
