  • I wonder if the new hamster stuff available after xmas will cost a bit more given that most people are keen to buy more stuff and ebay and other inflated retailers have demonstrated that people are willing to pay more?

Your high street shops will keep same retail price.

    I really hope so.

They're not allowed to mark it up. The producers of GoGo Hamster sell it to shops at a set retail price so both parties make a profit. It's all in agreement. If retailers start charging more, producers can take them to court.

Well I think my thoughts behind that were also that some people selling on ebay, whose listings are not going well, or they are panicking that they are not going to get enough and the listing is due to finish, may well post the item on here as a bargain to quickly get some interest and push the price up (i'm not referring to those that give an item number out of disbelief or for interest). Although MOST people posting this sort of info, are doing it just to try and help others, there are quite a few people on here that are clearly advertising their own listings or that of their friends. For example, one person a couple of weeks ago, kept mentioning what are bargain something was as it was still 99p, however, the auction still had a couple of days to run, which was a bit odd as it would clearly increase in 2 days. Out of interest, I looked back through some of their previous posts, and they always gave numbers for ebay listings by one particular ebay ID. There were another 3 people (or may be the same person with 3 MSE IDs) that kept referring people to listings made by people or a shop in a specific area of the country. Cynical, may be? But I don't think it takes too much brain power to work out what some are doing...

if you are not a detective i think you should look into that line of work :p
thanks for the help as usual!

  • Does anyone know if that alarm sounds if you're just browsing other sites and leave it minimised? I still want the car and garage.

  • Just come off the phone to TRU and was told that the orders are sent out by Parcelforce. She filled in a form for a refund and said it will be seen either this weekend or Monday and I should get my money back about/within 72 hours after that.

Definitely will be thinking twice before I buy anything from Toys R Us again, I think they will lose a lot of customers as I certainly won't be buying anything online from them again, the lady I just spoke to said that everything goes by Parcelforce whatever delivery option they choose, but some people had delivery by courier and she said that it depends on the weight.

I could tell that she had had a few phone calls about these as when she looked up my order she said 'oh Go Go Pets'.

I wonder what prices the new sets available from 2010 will sell for? I really like the look of the hamster pushing the pram with 2 babies in it!!

I have an extra house (wasn't sure whether a previous order went correctly through so spent ages waiting for someone else to list and ended up receiving 2). Anyway, my TRU one cost me £24.95 delivered. I do not want to put it on ebay or anything like that as people on this thread were very helpful when I was stuck and looking for one so.....I am happy to sell for the price it cost me (£24.95) to the first person to PM me - will also have to cover postage but think about £3.50 would cover that. It is still in the box in which it was delivered and hasn't been opened. I hope this helps someone.
