  • I Love being an unfit parent too!!

2 xbox 360s at home, so loadsa electricity being used, but 2 fab teenage sons who are doing brilliantly at school, very respectful to mum and dad, never get into trouble, but god knows how long they spend on their beloved machines each week!!!

Who cares. Its the 21st century for goodness sake! Id rather them be at home in the warm, safe and sound on dark winter nights than out "playing" and getting up to goodness knows what!

That is what happens at my home too :rotfl:My boys are lovely too.

    xx
 I NEED TO CHANGE MY BAD LUCK RUN!!!!

hey I dont need to chilli i was making apoint so people buying one could make allowances for the increase in fuel cost.
    why do i bother sometimes.....

My comment wasn't really directed at you, but whatever. I know people who on average lose £1000 per week on gambling and I felt the need to remind people that money issues can be so much worse.

is this a MONEY SAVING FORUM or did i misunderstand
  • We have an Xbox (no kids though so no parenting advice for me thanks) It's on for probably an average of 5 hours per day every day (shorter some days longer at the weekend when we are both playing) I also have my laptop and the TV on for about 16 hours a day (work from home) plus the lights (never switch hall light off) etc etc and our electric bill is £35 a month for a 3 bedroom house (gas heating & water but everything else electric) so the Xbox costing £15 a month in electricity seems unlikely to me.
  • I have 2 xbox's one downstair's for streaming from my pc(movies and such) and one upstair's in my gaming room both are normally on at same time on the night as my OH watch's the TV downstair's while i game and i have noticed quite an increase.

But it's cheap entertainment and your in your own house nice and warm instead of trawling about all the time :)
