No we haven't, I didn't remind KimYeovil to schedule in the government recommended one to two hours of physical activity a child needs each day ... :p

And why can't that be combined with gaming - if it's done right. After an hour playing Lego Starwars or some other such game on the Wii with my 4 year old daughter, I'm knackered :embarasse

Where did you get the other 4 hours from?

(The other four hours are games playing.)

And don't get me started on Lego(t)! I get upset enough at non-plain ordinary-coloured bricks. One general purpose bucket - that's enough to last a childhood. Where did all this stupid single-purpose moulds and decals come from? And as for replacing manual fiddling with bricks with computer simulations - pah! Less painful to tread on in the middle of the night but that's hardly compensation enough for a generation of Harlow's monkeys.

I would like to thank Samfantastic for her post. She posted useful information that explains why my electricity meter is using more electricity somedays! I do not have one of these meters, so thank you!

As for some of the other comments, I would love to think you can post here and not be judged in such ways i have read here. Please stay on topic, and as Forum etiquitte requests:

''Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.''

  • the woman posts on here to warn people about something and the busy bodies start questioning what type of mother she is.

good answer my friend..... those damned stuck up sticky beaks should mind their own business. If you can't offer advice without offering an opinion on how someone chooses to bring up their kids then shame on you.......no doubt now someone here will look at my posts and say i don't have the right to ask for advice because i don't work?? and yes i am a parent, and yes my child (the one that isn't disabled) does play on a console, yes he's fed, is literate and not smacked....enough info for you or maybe you want to call the NSPCC?

my tv: 32 inch HDTV: 180 watts when on.
    my xbox 360: 175watts
    hour usage: 355watts = around 7-8p

2 hours every day = 4.80 quid per months, not bad at all i say

A cheap form of entertainment! where else are you gonna get 60hours of enjoyment for £4.80 a month???? i don't go out, i don't drink. i don't smoke and i rarely watch tv, so i'd be quite happy to spend £15-20 a month o a form of entertainment. You sticky beaks remember that the next time you spark up a fag or crack a bottle:beer:
