Well pretty pleased with my C2 sales, considering the time of the year and with not being at work no orders from there.

The recanvassing worked, picked up 2 new customers, spending £40 between them so was worth the effort....I did put a leaflet on the back of the brochures, saying about the offers/discounts i do etc, but also had a bit for people to write their address if they didn't want a book anymore...

But yet I still had one lady when I knocked to get the book back shout at me from inside her living room, telling me to "f*ck off, I'm sick of this"....I can only assume the kleeneze people round the area are delivering lots of books to her, as I haven't recanvassing in nearly a year now so it certainly hasn't been me bothering her! She could have just written on the form I provided....but no that would be too easy wouldn't it - much easier to throw it away and swear at people instead:rotfl:

Sounds like you have some 'colourful' characters, lozza! :D Hope you held your own....

Never had that sort of reaction (yet) thank goodness.

Lol - unfortunately with her being inside the house and there being people about I couldn't say what I wanted to (much the same as she said to me :p) so I just politely said "ok then duck no need to be like that" and walked off. Very very tempted to start delivering an expired brochure to her house every week to pee her off but I won't, I'll be good:p

Bet it's really tempting to order her a tonne of manure for home delivery too! ;)

Well done you; looks like you'll have to satisfy yourself with the thought that she's missing out on all the bargains - her loss.

do you think it was this one?

  • its 94896. you dont need the voucher to use the code. lots of my customers didnt use them, so i used them on their behalf----they will like a 'free' eyeliner/lipliner!!

.....Me too :D Have ordered 3 eyeliners & 2 lipliners to use as giveaways at some point ;) I sometimes do a freebie tacked on the end of my 'order date reminder' emails, ie first person to email back to claim it....and I send another email when it's claimed under the heading 'freebie now gone' - hopefully lets those who didn't read the first one know they've missed out :p

As usual, I've been pleasantly surprised by my total on C2. I started out thinking 'oh well, as long as I make MOV' and am so far at £312 with a couple more days to go :j Not so confident about the next one though - I did a prize draw this time, but am out of ideas for the next (except for a baseball bat, as my OH suggested :D)

well so far i have £113 in orders for camp 3 and im doing another collection on wednesday so im quite impressed with my customers really considering its the first one since xmas! maybe the little xmas presesnt for my favourite customers helped?

also my area is very new. our postcodes arent recognised anywhere and my street is a building site. everytime i do a round there seems to be a new building appearing and the next time its magically finished and awaiting residents.

so...i put books through the new doors even before anyone has moved in saying welcome to the area and introducing myself etc it has contact details and says basically when theyre settled if they fancy a newer book to contact me or if they arent at all interested then to contact me and say so so i dont bother them in the future etc.

I hesitated about this at first as i prefer meeting face to face and introducing myself etc but thought its an extra few houses each time, if i dont hear anything then i can try again and knock etc and if i do its a bonus! a few people have left the books out with notes saying no thanks etc which makes me life easier.

well...yesterday i had a phone call from a lady who was moving in today, she saw my book and was desperate for a newer one. I told her i would drop one in today and she was very excited saying she would find time to order between moving in and leave the order out for wed!! so theres proof! it works!!

Ive also managed to get one of my friends hooked. we went to a vigin vie party together and she was swayed into re-thinking her beauty regime so when we got home i showed her a book and the lower prices and she has ordered twice now...so has her mum!
