  • Four years later and I'm still like that when I'm recanvassing - oh, and I walk very quickly talking to myself too!

I'm the same but I have my boys with me so I just chat away to them while I'm dropping books normally trying to spot the cat/bird/bus/etc that my son is shouting about!!!

I talk to myself alot too. My son is 16months so he cant talk back but i pretend its to him lol..even if hes asleep.

WELL....today has been interesting. Good, annoying AND hopeful lol i dont even care if noone reads this but if i cant tell all on here where can i? lol

First As i said one of my reps was refused the other day:mad:. My AM offered to call her for me as i didnt have a clue how to solve the problem or what options she had etc. It turns out she had some personal probs and had to leave her last address quickly so had £35 left unpaid on her account. apparently its a case of paying that off and then we can try again:j...so does that mean i have to re-sign her or send anything off again or...?

Anyway, the rep text me herself telling me what had happened. I think it helped that i had pre-warned her that there was a problem and had passed it on to my upline so she could advise her further etc so it wasnt like i was ditching her and giving up. She said she would let me know when thats paid up so i know whats going on so we could get back on track. So there is a chance i havent lost my rep after all. HOWEVER Order goes in on tuesday ...any idea how long all this will take and whether she will miss this camp? late order maybe?

Next the rep i was supposed to see yesterday for training 2 cancelled yesterday and rearranged for today, then today rearranged for tomorrow...wonder what will happen tomorrow!:think:

Another girl i did 2nd training with today came over, (the one whos 'skint' but is out every night) her order is in on friday and she hasnt covered half her territory. Shes feeling down cause she only has £30 of orders after pretty much the whole 3 weeks but she hasnt really put the effort in. :(she hasnt told her friends, asked their mums...got herself out there! She is a stuffer so has lost half her books through people who arent interested...but she was reluctant to buy bags for them so they wouldnt have left the books out anyway really.

Shes a mutual friend and a sweet girl so im gonna try and keep her motivated but my god i felt like grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking! (lol sorry i wouldnt actually do that) All she had to do was listen the first time or tell me two weeks ago she couldnt get her books back... I ended up GIVING her all of my book 5s (I dont need them as im just finishing camp 6) but that was about 50 books! so she can get them out to her streets tonight...some yellow 'i called to collect your brochure' thingys so she can try and track down the ones she has lost by friday AND a box of sandwich bags.

Im sorry but there is no excuse now. Short of knocking on doors for her theres not much else i can do. I looked through her calling book and she has near enough 100 houses left to do!! I kow she wont get round all of them but if she really wanted to make a go of this she could KNOCK and ask so she doesnt waste her own time!

Lastly one of my reps wants to be a sales leader:j so now its a whole new era of training for me and getting my head around ordering books for my prospects and books for hers etc:p shes a lovely lady and i hope she does well. Im sure she will.

Really Lastly lol i posted an ad on gumtree and was sent this 'Thanks for your recent Gumtree ad posted in the Gumtree category "general jobs " section Unfortunately we have had to remove your ad.

We don't accept commission only jobs except for rickshaw riders / nightclub promotions / market research.

We do not allow 'Work from home' businesses to advertise on Gumtree.'

How annoying! How come Avon are aloud to post on there then??

    Thats it...I promise.

Whoop whoop I just delivered my first ever lot of books! For some reason I felt like I had to be very quiet and sneak down people's paths so as not to draw attention to myself - need to get over that methinks! On my way back home I did ask in the corner shop if they wanted a book so was proud of myself for that (even though they said no!) x

Lol I was the same to start with - you get used to it after a while! Congrats on asking in the shop :T

  • Yummymummy and Sophiesoph, I took my 16 month old with me today, and he started crying really loudly, drawing loads of attention to me, so he didn't really work as a decoy! Gloversgirl, I have got the same thing with my street, it's not allocated to me even though it is just a footpath and the streets it's joining together are! Strange I thought, especially since I haven't had a book the whole time I've lived here. My SL told me I had to do the same as you and ask the neighbours if they get a book, and I think I am going to have to knock on their doors and just blurt it out. SL told me to leave the books at the houses I drop to for 2 days initially, as then you are more likely to get them back so have dropped today and will attempt to collect on Friday. I guess as you get to know the customers you can leave them longer. I am really enjoying Avon so far, think I have become slightly obsessed, but just need to get over feeling embarrassed approaching people about it. I feel like I am asking people for money which is always awkward, but I read on a website today that you need to change your mindset to the fact you are offering these people a personalised home shopping experience and a service! xxx

Making pc is based on your own personal sales - being a sl doesn't make any difference to reaching pc as team sales don't count just your own

Good advice from your sl milliethecat ;) i still get excited about collecting in my books and seeing who has ordered and how much, I thought the novelty would wear off but I'm guessing not over a year later i'm still just the same lol
