Interestingly, my newbie (refused by Avon) but who registered online before being written to has now received an email welcoming her to Avon and giving her a link to follow. (Link doesn't work
BTW) However, it does look like the account no. issued to her is working and it seems that she could input her order in online. Have they just missed it and if she were to put an order in, would it just be rejected - anyone know for sure?

Hopefully someone might come up with something to help you i.e. crisis loan, whether the fact that you are at home looking after your DS helps on the NI contributions side (know it now counts towards your qualifying years re. your OA pension). Has your DH continued working for the guy, who hasn't paid him? Hopefully, he might be able to find work elsewhere or, if not, could he be the house-husband and release you to go and find a better paid job?
On the other hand, rules & regs permitting, are you allowed/able to offer to childmind someone else's child and/or share child care i.e. one day/week you have the children, letting her work and then switch over?
Of course, there's always Betterware too? No outlay, everything paid for and you get a straight 20% of all sales. They do weekly orders so that would bring in some regular income once you've done the first order. Know you're not in my area but I could see if I can find out who is responsible for your area if you like?
thanks MC. I did ask the woman this morning but she just said a straight no, not entitled to anything. My DH has to continue working for this guy - really, really complicated. I told him at Xmas to leave but we have very good reasons why he cannot. But you never know, he might come home tonight and tell he has left.
DH did say he would love to be a househusband but I think one day with DS, he would realise it's not all fun and games and why I never get anything done!
I think the lady in my local Boots does Betterware as she was talking to me about it. I need to think about it. And if it involves having stock in house, I need to declutter first before DH will let me do anything else!
Thank you soooo much though. All of you this morning have given me so much support and Elliebee has inspired me, to think outside the box. There is a new gym that has opened near my son's childminder. Now they are probably fully staffed but no harm going and asking if any jobs going, and a few other places I hadn't thought about, there is a harvester and a few other places.0 -

I have the link cached in my googlechrome and it has stopped working. every time I click on it, it says is this the page you are looking for, shows same link? Think they have changed something on their site.
And sorry don't know answer to your question, why not ring or email SL line and ask?0 -
Hi honeypot, I'm new to Avon, just coming to the end of my third campaign. It took 3 days from me applying to be a rep and the asm contacting me and signing me up that day! Think she was a bit keen to get me on her team. I'm also up north and wondering if there are any differences between how much people spend and what they tend to order.20/01/10 Began as an Avon Representative. C4 - £156.16 :j C5 - £219.75:T0

Lol, I am having a brilliant week...lol. The lady who called on Thursday about avon book, has not been in touch, texted her yesterday, so take that as a no. My former work colleague has not replied so don't think she is interested and my former Rep was supposed to have posted something back to me last thursday... no sign of it!
LOL. I love MC's signature. that soooooooooooo applies to my life at mo.
Anyway, have found what I needed, now off to take poor DS out!
Thank you all so much for letting me vent. xx0 -
Hi Sunnyd4494
Hows it going?
It would be great to compare if i can ever get going as a rep lol
Are you finding the ordering easy? Im expecting the whole delivering/collecting to be a bit of a chore but i dont mind im not work shy!
I have scanned this thread and it seems its all done over the internet?
I used to order from avon years ago approx £20 per campaign my rep used to give me lots of testers then i would order them next time!!
If i just made enough to cover my order that would be great!
Are you enjoying it im sure it will be easier as spring /summer comes along

I am enjoying it, I get to earn a bit of pocket money whilst spending all my time with dd. It is hard work, more so for the first few orders getting used to what's what. Thankfully my hubby has quite a few family members living very close and my mum takes a book to work so meeting mov has been easy, touch wood. I have found getting books/bags back a little hard, what do people do with them? I'm hoping to get more territory once my asm finally responds to my email. And once the nicer weather comes the drop/collect will be much more pleasant. It does take a little time to build up some trust within your territory but im enjoying doing it.
When did you contact Avon about becoming a rep?20/01/10 Began as an Avon Representative. C4 - £156.16 :j C5 - £219.75:T0 -
i too am a newbie, on 2nd campaign. dont seem to have much success with my houses and having to leave notes to get people to leave their books out! Got 2 orders from them so far and am offering a free gift with every order over £20 and so far that works.
In one of my roads is a block of flats, they are letter boxes on the outside of the building. what should i do about these?
i am in somerset....anyone else?C7 - 221.05 :j C8 - 308.07 :j C9 - 250.84 :j C10 - £525.25 :j:j C11 - £467.91 :j C12 - 491.44 :j C13 - £442.09 :j C14 - £357.95 :j0 -
Hi again. I asked yesterday whether it was usual to only receive one sales brochure (small A5 size), didn't get chance to get back to you all yesterday. Anyway, I am currently on C6 and this is only my second camp, so still on the 20 free books. Should I have received more of these as there is no way I can show one book to all customers, or have I only received one because I am still on the free books.0
