Hi yummymummy85
Is this the new brochure bags, the ones that are supposed to be thicker, bigger and have a ziplock?
If not, then they are the old style ones that we complained about. The only thing you can do is email them and ask if you can be reimbursed, these along with brochure books are things we cannot return for credit.
Although I have had to email them about my rep who resigned, handed them and the brochure books back to me and refused to pay for them. I am hoping on this occasion they will credit me for them or should I say her.
Well another Rep is not answering calls, texts or emails, so think she has given up.
One of my new Reps called today asking to meet so I can train her on how to input her order and said she had none.
I think I am close to giving up Avon as it is not making me any money and I am just getting into debt.0 -
They are definately not thick and don't have a zip lock which is what I was expecting. Will be making a trip to Asda this evening to get some decent bags so I can put my brochures out tomorrow!
On another note, the woman that's become a rep who was my customer has just messaged me on facebook accusing me of stealing her ideas simply because I'd put on my page that if you're not in my local area I can post a book and post your order (I've been doing this since I started as with being an Army wife I have a lot of contacts that I may meet again at another posting so thought it was a good idea) and apparently she had just put something similar on her page. Couldn't believe that she accused me of this I mean to me that's just childish!! Am a bit worried now tho coz I have an order to deliver to her on Friday, just hope she's going to be grown up about it!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -

That's what I thought, I'm sure in HT6 (where I ordered them from) said that they were the new improved ones but apparently not unless they're just trying to fob me off with the old ones coz I'm a new rep??!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -

Aw sorry to hear that ..... I guess I'm not a sales leader so I don't appreciate it all but surely its not right that you're getting into debt??
OK what I really want to say is ... surely you are recruiting more reps to make Avon more money so shouldn't they be supporting you? Of course, I know from this thread that that is mostly not the case ... and I suppose thats a pitfall of being self employed.
Sorry to hear you are having such a rubbish time, and hope you don't get to the stage where you quit. Your lazier reps don't deserve you, and your knowledge has been invaluable to everyone on here!!0 -
Email them yummymummy85, I think they are trying to use up the old stock rather than waste it before issuing the new ones.
Personally I think they should have 2 codes, one for the old bags and one for the new ones.
At least people who still want to use the old bags, ie to give products to customers in, can order them until stock runs out.
I am sorry to hear about your new rep and how unprofessional she is being.0 -

Thank you claregre. My situation has just gone from manageable to downright at the bottom of the pit, surely things must get better from here...
I just am not making any money to pay bills, etc, and tax credits has been adjusted according to DH's income, which would be fine if he was actually getting paid but he isn't! Even he has said to me if you are not making any money it is time to give it up. Although I am one who believes in trying something for longer than 5 minutes to say you gave it a go before giving up, financially I can't afford to keep doing this.
I had a customer that I let buy from HT as she spent a lot of money last summer and I know she can't afford much, she asked me for 2 more necklaces that she had previously bought at HT price and I said I couldn't do it as it was a past issue and the same item is not in them any more and I can't backorder. So she said if I couldn't get it at that price, then to just order 1. It's things like this I can't afford. I could give it to her at my discount price depending how many orders I get, but means I make nothing from it.
And all the support I get from my SL is "what are you doing to recruit new reps?"
I am not going to go into it, but basically I cannot afford to recruit new reps if I have to leave my son at the childminder's. As it costs me more when my reps don't make MOV.

They used book 5 to promote Mother's Day and for some of us delivery was last week. But I agree I think if I had a delivery for next week - an additional for free, might have been able to get a few more customers.
Yes, good point aureol. I've already had my C5 delivered. (Gave everyone on my back campaign a note to say that they would not be receiving Avon's specific book aimed at Mother's Day until afterwards but if they wanted to see one early then just to ask. Not one person asked.) Agree - like in the run up to Christmas - it would be a good idea for Avon to waive the normal restrictions re. additional orders.
Having said that.... I thought I was regaining a customer (friend of a new rep I signed up but then cancelled) but turns out she ordered from my new ex-rep's mum  The order, however, was from C6 and she wanted it for Mother's Day so that didn't work out! :T (Maybe I'll get her back again - eventually.)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

charity parties - what do you give to charity? All the profit or do you still make a bit? Also how do you go about delivering do you deliver each individual order?
Thanks for your help
I was asked to do a fundraising party at a local club and they asked for 10% of all sales/orders in cash on the night. Am trying to take as much stock as poss rather than have the headache of deliveries but am happy to deliver locally; any out of town deliveries will have to be collected from the club or it'll be up to the organisers to sort.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I feel for you. As i said yesterday one of mine gave up, luckily (well not through luck more through promoting myself everywhere i go) i have more than 5 anyway but the 1st one i signed up was a complete let down. I wasnt going to say on here incase she used it but after the complete lack of effort i doubt she paid any attention to me.
grr uh-oh you have unlocked the beast within!...lol she asked avon to put her in contact with someone (me) and then decided she wanted to do avon. shes literally across the road from me but has two blocks of flats and roads to do. I had tried to get in touch to take her her second books and show her how to order and she was never in. she refused to answer the door or phone and wouldnt reply to texts. she would ask what time i was going round and after replying straight away she still wouldnt be there. Days later i would get a text asking when i was going to give her her books!!
I kept trying and got nothing,i told her i had found new customers, interested people etc, gave her a map to show where they were....NOTHING!
The day of the first order to go in she text asking how to order! i called, nothing...felt like saying if you had just answered the door you would know all this! I explained it over text and for her first camp she hit MOV from 2 customers...her sister and her neighbour!
I have tried again and eventually me and my upline went after her delivery to help as she had 100+ bags arrive and lots of unexplained products. Since then we have tried with her but get nothing back and last camp her order consisted of a return of a ring sizer in exchange of a glimmerstick or somethin??? lol Its people like this i just dont understand! why apply for something and not bother?? you wouldnt apply for a job you had no intention of working at!
BREATHE! ive waited a good few months to vent that...but its out now. Im guessing shes stopped avon-ing anyway.camp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211
