Avon Hints and Tips (Part 3)

Well riabie why cant you carry on and keep your avon going until you get to your new place and try there? If you quit now, move and sign up for something to do then you still sign up into the same team as before (if its less than 8 camps) so it wouldnt make a difference, chances are you could get new territory in your new place and start again, without the sign up malarki.
Some people are funny about avon, it takes time to build a relationship with them.camp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

Hi riaibie
I started as an Avon Rep in March 2009, in my first campaign, I made £0, I didn't get a single order. In my second campaign, I got £38 order, I made nothing. In 3rd Campaign, I got orders for £54, then it got better and better.
The problem with Avon is people expect to immediately make money. It really depends on your friends, family and territory. None of my friends were prepared to buy from me, I don't have any family here, all I had was territory. With territory, people want to know you are coming back, you are going to be coming back and also they might want to take their time with Avon, checking it out first. In the first couple of books there might not be any offers that grab them.
I would stick with Avon until you move, and before you move arrange for territory to be allocated at your new home. You might be moving to an area that has already been worked by an Avon Rep so you might have a ready made customer list.
Good luck.0 -
Well just submitted my order and it was over £400 again :j
As a friend of mine who use to do Avon has given up but still takes a book to her old customers for me (they are all at the school her kids go to) so that has really boosted my sales. Also I did my road again as hadnt got round to them since xmas because of new baby etc.
Going to try the flats next campaign and if that goes well then I will ask ASM for another couple of roads. Being really cheeky tho and asking for certain roads that are close by lol. Luckly there doesn't seem to be many reps in my area as ASM is always asking if we know anyone who wants to be a rep.0 -

Thank You. Finally feel like Im back on track with the Avon now. Just want to build up my customer base a bit more then might think about becoming a Sales leader0

Well you keep working this hard, you will soon have a great customer base. Me, am going to have find some new reps very quickly!0

I just realised that Avon has really missed a trick. Order day is 10th March but delivery day is 16th, but Mother's Day is the 14th! I am sure we all would have tons more orders if delivery was before Mother's day. That would have been a really easy selling tactic.0

They used book 5 to promote Mother's Day and for some of us delivery was last week. But I agree I think if I had a delivery for next week - an additional for free, might have been able to get a few more customers.0

Thanks for the advice.. going to put my order in tomorrow anyway and see how I feel after the weekend. I wasn't expecting to make loads, but the lack of interest from the area was really a let down, I think even 1 order would have been something. I know it's going to take time to build a customer base but now I'm worried that time isn't on my side with recent news of offer from uni and moving earlier than anticipated it seems I'm going to be looking to move in 6/7 weeks time and in that time, I have a week away holiday booked, I need to go to the new area ( 5 hours away!!) to find new place to rent with OH and pack a house up on my own... oh and work full time! My ASM is calling me thursday evening to see how my first round went so will discuss with her.0

It's a funny area, very well to do and status is everything, maybe it's the wrong kind of area
Same here - Ive got quite a big round and its the "posh" houses with big gravel drives and electric gates that I struggle to get orders from - the more normal houses, the semi's and the terraces is where I get most orders from.
Its almost like some people are too hoity toity for Avon :rotfl:0
