Agree with what the others have already said, winsomes. Be professional, rise above any of her 'tricks' and look after the customers you do have on your street reeeealllly well. Go the extra mile and not only will they stick with you but hopefully word will spread. When the baby comes chances are the young girl will fall by the way-side.

Oh, not rocket science, but try giving a free sample to all your customers or some sort of free gift. Everyone likes something for nothing. (I've recently been ordering the Avon pens and giving them - they don't work out much more expensive than the fragrance samples, which to date have never resulted in a purchase for me.)

If you do go ahead with some sort of note about you being the official rep, I'd suggest making it more of an incidental comment rather than being the main purpose of the note i.e. work out some sort of loyalty scheme or free gift for £x orders. Circulate that and 'mention in passing' that you were officially given the street to cover by Avon in ............ 2009 or Y months ago and apologise if they are interested in Avon but you omitted to introduce yourself earlier. If you've got some calling cards too i.e. Vistaprint (or Avon, which I've not seen :o ) then staple one of those to the note too. All helps it look more professional and hopefully they'll hang onto the card for future reference.

    Good luck.

Yep thats right! You can always order from the current brochure, and the previous one. So at the moment its C5 & C4, then it'll be C6 & C5, then C7 & C6 and so on. You'll be surprised how well you do, with 45 books you should do ok! :)

Sorry, lozza, haven't followed that one up yet - another thing to add to my 'Hit List'! :)

Oops, my memory is sooooo bad. Turns out I had applied to join Flissys but was so long ago I'd forgotten. Finally got the welcome email offering me 3 free weeks instead of 2 because of the delay but been so busy have not had chance to take advantage of it. And, now, I can't remember my log in details! :(

Welcome, jc, you'll get plenty of help on here. Contact your SL/ASM and you'll probably find you have until Sunday or even Monday to get more orders together. That should give you enough time to cover at least 90 houses with your 45 books. If you have time (and a printer) might be worth doing a flyer and dropping that in to the houses you can't actually get to this week with a book i.e. introducing yourself and saying you'll drop a book in as soon as you can but if anyone is wanting something urgently to telephone you asap?

I'd email her again and she'll resend the details for you x

Well after a quite successful C5 I'm now worried that C6 is not going to be as good because I've had such good orders this time. How do you ensure that you get good orders each time? I know I can't expect everyone to order everytime but would like to at least hit HOV each time! Also, after you've put your order in when do you start putting out the next lot of books? Last time I just waited until my order was delivered and did the delivery and book drop on the same day but then obviously that only left me with 2ish weeks to get everyone's orders in. Do you start straight away after you've put your order in??

Also, my DH is in the Army and we are due to be posted in the summer, when this happens do I just contact my ASM and ask for territory at the new posting if there's any available? I'm hoping that doing Avon is going to mean that I settle into new areas quicker as I'll be out and about trying to get new customers each time we move! Also, would it be a good idea to obviously let me current customers know that I'm move and ask them if they'd like me to give they're details to another local rep so they still receive a book? Is this even possible??

Oh and one more thing.... has anyone tried the teabag thing and did it acctually work? I only have about 3 customers on my actual territory so would like to try and grab a few more!

It works quite well. I used Twinnings tea bags which come in little paper sealed envelopes and I did a voucher with it too (ie spend £15 get free gift type thing)
