Hello again all! I have counted up my shrapnel and am back to relay the results!

OH laughed at me when he saw me counting the pennies, "Are you rich yet?" he asked, so sarcastic! and very supportive obviously

I have decided to have 3 pots for this challenge. I have:

    - A green spotty money box which you have to smash to open (not sure of the right name for it lol), this will be for £1 and £2 and I may be dipping into this in a few months for holiday spending money.

    - A very creative (or not so) quality street tin sealed with lots of parcel tape and with a slot carved into it for my bronze coins

    - Another sealed tin for silver coins.

My challenge will begin as follows:
    £2 - 0.00
    £1 - 0.00
    50p - 0.00
    20p - 1.80
    10p - 1.80
    5p - 4.55
    2p - 0.90
    1p - 3.49

Which makes a grand total of £12.54

Let hope I can continue throwing this much change in the pots over 2010!

    Evening all
£5.30 in the wine bottle over the christmas period..... not bad seeing as the shops weren't open :D I 'found' the change in the OH's wallet.... I'm taking tips off Sue and becoming a raider with permission obv! :D
I got fed up the other day and counted all the money in the wine bottle (must admit I didn't seal it very well) and grand total after (nearly) a month = £63.80 :D:D:D
So theoretically if I carry on saving like this I should have £765.60 - which will make for a lovely christmas
Don't know if I'll be back before new years but if I'm not, have a good one!

I've been slowly adding to my pot - got my proper one now, it's lovely! I don't know how i'm going to bring myself to break it at the end of the year! But, all silver coins i have have been going in there, and any that OH or other family members leave lying around!
