You do it the way you wish 133na. You're not the only one and in any case, it's far better to have the cash for when YOU want it!! ;) Don't worry about moving along slowly with your saings either, the main thing is that you're saving! :)

Sorry to hear you've got a cold LC, get well soon and keep warm.

I checked the calendar earlier today sparky and was quite shocked to see we're that advanced, where's the year going to?!

Apologies mcjordi, though I hadn't been peeping in your pot - honest!! :o I had you mixed up with someone else. Thanks a lot for putting you No on your siggy.

  • Haven't posted in ages. Yesterday I had to open the sealed tin. It wouldn't take any more money. My aim was to put in £1 per day from the beginning of the year and then cash it all in on 1 December. The total yesterday was £337. :j I'm delighted. The shrapnel jar is still ongoing.

I've put it all back in at the minute until I can make a wise decision as the desire to blow it is exceptionally strong. I had planned on using it for Christmas but do have a good bit of Christmas sorted already. So I'm dithering now over what to spend it on:

Baby 4 is due 22 November and some of my mat leave will be on SMP so this could go towards bills during the months I've less money.

Do I cash it in now and sort out the rest of Xmas and then start again?

Do I leave it in the tin until 1 December and buy another tin and keep filling it and do a recount of both on 1 December?

Do I cash it in and treat the whole family.

    Decisions, Decisions. :rotfl:
