Had a little outing while the carer looked after DH. Went on a 10 minute train ride and wandered round shops etc that I'm not so familiar with. Took a packed lunch, and ate it sitting by the river in the sun, which made a nice change.

Went to the cashpoint before I went, and took notes with me. I ended up with £7.40 in the bottom of my bag as loose change, and it's now in the pot.
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

£3.13 in the pot today. Can't remember if I said, but I got a pot that counts the money when you stick it in for my birthday! Just need batteries for it, but I'm very excited about using it!

Thanks sparky, I see you've held the fort nicely in my absence, thank you kindly dear sir. ;)
Off to a great start I see newgirly, well done. I agree with the Christmas money going to the kids anyway. Sparky's absolutely right about the coinstar machines, please don't throw your money away on them. Take it to your local PO or shop.

I see you're underway too Wildchild, there's no holding folk back once they start!

Never mind Caz, as others have already said, it's just so good you had it by you. Well done on the £316 saved, you've really done yourself proud!! Good for you on starting straight off again.

    Good for you Kerry! :T

Ahh Winchelsea, you painted such a beautiful picture of your well-deserved free time and I'm delighted that you enjoyed it and that the weather was kind to you. All best wishes. :)

Don't recall you saying about your pot psycho, but I'm pleased you're so chuffed with it.

A very good beginning Katy! You'll soon be on the way to your target, by the way, do you want me to put the 2 target amounts on the list, after your name?

Another £2.01 in the pot today for me today, the 1p that DH found in the road!

Well done all, more good cash saving achieved, brilliant. :j
