I can supply the bread if you can spare the acacia honey - YES???? :D

I'll send some off into the ether Sue - that is, if you can put up with a sticky computer!!

(Actually I haven't opened it yet - at the moment I'm saving it for when I feel the need for a treat!)

dippykitty, please don't consider you saving a lot less to be a failure, you only fail if you don't put the effort in, you've done MORE than that!! :T Keep battling on kitty, every penny counts and there's still a good while to go yet. ;)

    Thanks for the encouragement! :D

Thanks Sue-UU, I've added my number to my signature now.

£2.30 went in the pot straight away yesterday. Sadly it's a very plain looking taped-up tupperware tub - but it'll serve the purpose I guess!

£9 to go in today for the first time in ages!!!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Hi all, sorry to report that I've had to open my pot and make a withdrawal of £190.00. Booking holidays and not putting spending money away is not a good idea. Going to Benidorm next week so have had to take action. Will still carry on saving as usual when I return. Paul.

    Morning Paul
At least you had the money there to fall back on mate :D Can you do me a favour and pop the £190 into your siggy, and we can add this to the overall total at the end of the challenge ;) Enjoy Benidorm have a great holiday. Have I got it right? Are you from the Wirral?

Another 22p in road change for me, that goes towards the scooter tax/MoT so I don't have to scrape around for it!

  • Hello all

Pub change in the pot for me this morning (too scared to look in the notes section to see what is in there )

Put a few bits and bobs in through the week too, has been a bit slow for me of late as I have been on a diet so not spending much (not sure how that works but it does - I guess I used to spend a lot on rubbish food

I now fit into some new jeans that I got OH to bring me back from the States but I had piled on weight so they didn't fit since he brought them back - hurrah! They are snug but there isn't the muffin top that there was before so just a little bit more and I will be good to go.

Off for a boozy girlie lunch with a friend today, I will have to make sure I take my willpower with me so that I don't go crazy and ruin my good work (like I did last weekend at a wedding - 4500 calories in a day - ouch)

I am doing really terribly on this challenge as I dont use cash very often.
Have been putting the odd £1 coin in though so prob have about £30 in total, not great compared to some but do have £70 in £2 coins though as I NEVER spend them :D

Gambit That grand total of £93 last year WAS good, so please don't think it was only a little. Far better £93 than next to nowt - if - you hadn't have saved. Some of us have very little chance to save cash, some more, but whatever we save it really helps. Well done on yours! :) Do you want your Target of £150 updated? I'll gladly do so.

Thanks for the encouragement Sue. Yep, lets set that target and see if I can do it this year :p
