Congratulations on hubby's $20.00 roadkill Kerfuffle!!! :T:T I could hear you smiling from here!!
tinah, congratulations on your find too! :T
Ice on the road up your way then sparky! We've had some frosts lately, but no ice ...yet! Maybe you need some of that volcanic ash to warm the pavements!! :rotfl:
Gambit That grand total of £93 last year WAS good, so please don't think it was only a little. Far better £93 than next to nowt - if - you hadn't have saved. Some of us have very little chance to save cash, some more, but whatever we save it really helps. Well done on yours!Do you want your Target of £150 updated? I'll gladly do so.
isla_red, I strongly agree with mummytummy's advice of "Alot of patience, a flat bladed knife, tweezers if there are a few notes in there and a glass of wine or beer to see you through it" Apart from that Terramindi are great!!
passthewine, don't worry, it'll happen so long as you keep focused on saving every penny you can! We'll give all the encouragement you need.
You're doing a grand job with your charity jar Winchelsea! Incidentally, I can supply the bread if you can spare the acacia honey - YES????
dippykitty, please don't consider you saving a lot less to be a failure, you only fail if you don't put the effort in, you've done MORE than that!! :T Keep battling on kitty, every penny counts and there's still a good while to go yet.
Excellent news Queenriderbrekke, keep at it!!! :T
For me it's £1.01 in the pot.
All the best for a lovely Friday folks, enjoy it and stay safe.

Good morning everyone,
We had a photo shoot last night for the scootering magazine, with a great turnout of about 15 scooters, most were 'Modded' up so it looked good, can't wait to see the pics.
I got 7 £2 coins yesteday these are saved along with 50p's towards the IoM fund, which now stands at £283 thats the hotel paid for and £83 spending money!
Also found 12p in road change, so the scooter MoT and tax for 2011 is well on its way to being payed for, I really like people who throw change away, but I don't understand why they do it!Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Hi all, sorry to report that I've had to open my pot and make a withdrawal of £190.00. Booking holidays and not putting spending money away is not a good idea. Going to Benidorm next week so have had to take action. Will still carry on saving as usual when I return. Paul.:cool:0

I sometimes had to 'borrow' from my pot when I was on the wrong side of payday but what I did was pay it back when I could from my spending money and see it as if it were a 'debt'. Maybe you could try putting in an extra something a month from your spending cash?
Dont feel bad though as at least you dont have to borrow on a credit card charging silly interest rates :j
