I bagged up my money the other day because I was too impatient and wanted to see my savings balance rise! My target is £300 for the year and I have £160 left to meet it :j I might actually do it! I've made a note of the exact number for counting-up purposes at the end.
I used the HSBC coin sorting machine and came out with an extra 62p someone had left in the rejected coins tray and an american cent.
Have a lovely day everyone!:hello:

Hello everybody,
Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Things have been up in the air throughout March, hopefully it will all settle down again soon.
Sparky - I've just read back over some of the posts and I'm sorry to hear of DW's 50mph tumble. I'm glad she's ok though and has the determination to get back on the scooter quickly. Remind me though, when is your IOM trip?
To all the posters that have been AWOL - How could you? But I'm glad you did, now I don't feel so bad, good to hear from you all again.
Sue-UU thanks for missing me, I promise I'll keep in touch sometime, somehow.
Hugs to all peeps that have had to cancel foreign holidays, opportunity knocks to enjoy the pleasures of Britain though.
Toodles,

Popped in to Mr S with a fiver in my purse for a few bits (butter, cooking oil and hot choc mix), spent only £2.57, so on track with spending plans, and came home with £2.40 for the pot.
Using cash suits me best - if I'd had my debit card it would have been so easy to pick up extra goodies. (And, wouldn't have got the loose change to deposit in my increasingly heavy pot.)
We too have another beautiful sunny day. Makes you feel so much better!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -

Just realised - my well laid spending plans are scuppered! I forgot to include milk and organic veg, which are both delivered and automatically debited from my bank account.
Can cut down a bit - changing to a smaller veg box, as often have some left over at the end of the week, and amending the milk order. Instead of 4pts of semi skimmed 3X per week I'm ordering only 2pts of whole milk each time. While on hols and since (thanks to suggestions from MSE people) I bought full cream and diluted it 50%, and no-one noticed, so will continue this. No worries about calcium or protein deficits, as we do have a good diet.
So, when I add in even these amended sums, I'm likely to exceed the target, so may have to scale up next month's plans. Oh blow!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -

You've had the boss and everyone wondering where you've gotten to! DW said thanks for asking after her, we're off to the IoM on 2nd July and come home on the 4th July. Hope you and your DH are well, don't go missing for so long next time, or we'll have to come over to Canada to find ya :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:luckycharlie wrote: »Hi SPARKY

Hi everyone :hello:
Have been away house, cat and house bunny sitting last week! This week i have 2 very elderly dogs staying with me, on special diets and various medication, so a gentle week for me ...and them!!
Half my 'earnings' go into the pot as well as my usual daily £2, so i shall have a lovely surprise when it's opened :j
I am surprised at how heavy it is now and that the money doesn't have to fall very far in it.It's the first time in my life that i have consistently saved and i feel good about it!
CazSaving for another hound :j
