Buyer says 'item not as described'

Hi, this is the first time I've had this. Its a watch and she says its not for an adult. Basically shes saying I've described it wrong and its too small for her 'normal sized wrists'.

My description states no returns. Do I have to accept her return just because shes decided it doesnt fit her?

If I refuse to accept a return, she will give me a negative right?

Thanks,
Mashi

    Hi its this one
I think I've described it right, shes just decided that it doesnt fit her even though it fitted me and I've got 'larger than average' wrists!' or she just doesnt like it and has changed her mind?

If it's a standard swatch watch then I would agree they come up small (on my large wrists) but I wouldn't agree that it's the sellers fault. No ideas on what to do to stop her leaving you a neg though! if she pays return postage could you make a second chance offer to the next bidder?

Hey! I like that watch and I've got tiny wrists, if you refund her and she sends it back, message me the listing so I can bid!

Maybe next time it would be a good idea measure with tape measure the circumference of the wrist bit? Just an idea..though I can see no fault with the auction.
  • I don't think you can refuse a return if she paid by Paypal. Sometimes it's easier to just let them return it. I think you'd only have to refund the cost of the watch and not the postage as its described well. You've got a good feedback score, so even if you did get a neg you could leave a calm reply after it explaining that you kindly accepted her return as it didn't fit.

Always detail as much as you can. I have a problem with clothing that just says L or XL I nevewr have a clue whether it will fit or not unless I know the particular brand.

Buyer should have checked too though.

I guess I will have to do that!

haha thanks! I guess the only problem with the listing is the lack of measurements! But I still believe I have described it correctly :p

I think I will offer to the next bidder... my stress levels going up at the moment!

ok I will go with that then. I will reply her now about a refund. Do I need to refund the original postage? And does it need to go through ebay as a return? I've never done this before so sorry about the silly questions!

    Thanks!

Also... looking at the buyers feedback, looks like shes bought 2 more Swatch watches.. I'm a bit suspicious now, shes probably changed her mind thats why she wants to return it. sigh nevermind eh
