I'm having an issue at the moment, transfered my line rental over to Tiscali in July. End of the month got a bill for July and August line rental, took this as a billing error, awaiting a reprint for full and final amount up to disconnect end of July. Got a phone call yesterday asking for July, August and September line rentals plus calls for July. I've had a BT phone operator hang up on me ( i was being poliet, I promise!). And no luck with an email! I'm happy to pay July, didn't even get a bill for the September amount.0

Hi T1mmy, if you PM me with your address I can check the system to see if there has been active BT service within your premises and if the connection charge would apply?

Thanks for that.
If I joined someone like Direct Save Telecom it would be for tel line only as I normally will only take BB on a monthly contract and not a long min contract.
BB service can change over a short period of time and I like to be able to get out quickly if I have to.0 -

Hi the new build i am moving into. has Phone jacks in the house. the standard type. i think we may have a connection box outside.
Q: BT want to charge £125 approx to make the line live. Spoke with Talktalk they say they can do it for £39.
Are they talking about the same thing, if so and i was to take Talktalk option, And i had problems with say the phone line or internet speeds, who do i contact?

It states £60 here and they state "We do not currently offer new lines for telephony only packages"
Your quote for £40 may be for a 24 month minimum contract.
