Good old Bodyshop, no emails AT all :rotfl:
  • Since these orders have arrived I feel like Body Shop has gone down in my estimation. I'm not disappointed with what I paid for the stuff (quite cheap, not moaning !) but the normal selling price seems like a total con. I feel saying the brushes are worth 39.99 duped people into buying more than they would have normally. The soaps were tiny! £5.95 for a small bottle of bubble bath !This stuff doesn't seem to be of the same quality Body Shop used to sell. I am so glad my card got rejected for the other 5 orders !!!!!

I could not agree more. I was a BS devotee in the 80s, and although it was never cheap, I feel some of these prices are taking the mick. Anyone else get the vanilla and nutmeg lip balm? £5.95 yet it is no bigger than the cranberry one at £2?! I think someone is making these prices up to be honest. I'm glad I showed some restraint, as I could have went ahead and bought all next year's birthday gifts, but I don't really feel the items were great value for money, even at the cheap prices. The sparkle rollerballs are an absolute joke.

I totally agree. I haven't bought anything in BS for years now. I'd normally go to Lush - it's prettier, just as ethical and far more 'with it'. I feel BS is a bit out of touch nowadays. 15 years ago there wasn't the choice and they could get away with being dearer, now they can't.

I'm happy with what I got for the money but I certainly won't be going back in a hurry!

Think I'm the only person who doesn't think the rollerballs were dear (haven't tried them yet mind you)
I generally get all my makeup from MAC where a single eyeshadow is about £12. Something about the rows and rows of colours pulls me in and once I'm there my credit card just crawls out of my bag!!!

I'm still hoping I like the makeup brushes. I have a few Ruby and Millie ones that are over a tenner each(used a money off voucher) so I was hoping these would take the place of some of my cheap ones. Will be narked if they are carp.... Got another 3 as pressies!

  • I must be the only 1 happy with my purchases. You are all right the brushes are not worth £39.00 but they are still nice but i have to say the eye shadow palettes are lovely. I like the way they open to the sides and the case is like velvet, i know its not velvet but ykwim and the shadows are decent sized too. I have not tried the cranberry lip balm or the coconut body shimmer yet and am still waiting on a delivery for the roller balls but i will be quite happy if they are small as i just want them to fit in my handbag for a night out. The cranberry foot hugs are lovely.

I love BS eye shadows, cant wait to go use some £5 off vouchers on them on sat and claim my birthday gift.
