Hi SS!!
To be honest. I would go.
You have worked bl**dy hard, working when you're on holiday etc - and this is a once-in-a-4-year opportunity, so I say go for it.
Obviously do it as cheaply as possible, but enjoy it!!
Otherwise you'll resent the fact you cant go & probably end up blowing the money on some new car mats or something
!!
Enjoy it hun. xx0 -
OK, another update!
Tickets should be with us next week. Think the plan of action is to now to fly to somewhere like Frankfurt or somewhere else nearby as we can get a return flight for about £50. Then we are gonna hire a car, subject to cost and drive to the stadium. That way if worse comes to worse we can just kip in the car! :T
I reckon that will save me a minimum of £100! :j0 -

SS mate - should warn you there's a certain Mrs Dazzinator who is gunning for you with all the zeal of a puritanical witchfinder general at the moment...buy these tickets and you will find yourself burning at the stake.

Yeah!!! Go SS! Really pleased that you're going as just thought it would have been one of those regretted missed moments if you didnt!! Why you want to spend that much money watching a bunch of blokes run after a ball remains, of course, beyond me but so pleased you're going 'cos you'll LOVE it!!! Keep us updated & just ignore the negatives (am waiting for mine cos I just got a new TV!!) and enjoy (she says watching phillips, 24", flat screen dolby surround TV she just got for £125!!)Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Spooky, I was just reading the early posts & thinking they should go to that Frankfurt Hann (spelling?) airport which is in the middle of nowhere & really cheap, then hire a car & kip in it, and by the time I had got to the end great minds were thinking alike ! If the weather is fine you can kip anywhere, its not like you have two weeks of park benches to worry about. It will be great & the atmosphere just amazing.
Can I come too ?

I echo what I said earlier in the thread - go!
I have just come back from Nuremberg, where England played on Thursday and had a ticket for the game. All I can say that I have had the absolute best time ever this weekend - great atmosphere and an experience that I will never forget. Have been to other England away games, but this weekend has topped the lot - you really will have a fantastic time over there, cos I know I did - so don't feel bad about going - just think of the experience - it is something that I will remember when I'm 96!Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0
