Do you use a treadmill when its icy/snowy out?

Yeah - I think I need to switch to miles. I was focussed on 5k/10k targets before so it was easier to think that way...

I want to run NOW!!! :rotfl:

In other news my lamb and apricot tagine (In SC) smells lush ...

Right of to Mr Ms for bread milk and nappies and then group. Think we're having a surprise 1st birthday for one of the Mums today...

Then home, finish off Hubbles' scarf, complete december food plan and relax :D

Nope never used one as it happens - lost one day last year to ice, but otherwise its fine - its only a problem if its compacted ice. Frost is fine to run on as long as you dont try to do speedwork :D

    good morning everyone!

All this talk of running is making me tired, so I'd better sit down and have my advent choccie! We have a lovely patchwork calendar my mum made and it has 24 pockets to put roses, celebrations, quality street etc in - lovely stuff!

Bright, crisp morning here in Suffolk. I'm at work today, whilst DH is doing a little bit of shopping before going round to my parents to help with some jobs around the house and garden!

Go Luc, Go Luc! Wow, every list I see you produce puts me to shame! Hope you have a successful day!

Becky - I hope coat traumas cease today with the purchase or delivery of your lovely new coat!!

To everyone else here and who is still to come - have a lovely day! XX

    Morning.

I can talk! :j Starting to feel loads better, and other than a cough and a tendancy to sound like an 0898 girl, I feel almost normal. :D

Going to try a little run tomorrow. As I'm not 100%, and I haven't run for quite a while now, I'm going to just aim for 2 miles. If that goes okay, will try 3 at the weekend. It will be interesting to see how much fitness I've lost.

Just had to ring the dentist in Goa! My mum is stuck in Manchester airport and has been there for 36 hours.....boarding the plane now! Not sure I would get on a plane that had had so many problems meself...but hey ho...

Meant to say last night to PAP about CD...I found that when I came off CD my taste buds had been completely re educated. I find it very difficult to eat anything 'stodgy' anymore and I can only really eat half of what I used to eat....

Snags if you have had a cough then you should wait until your breathing is fully recovered (i.e. no longer laboured going upstairs etc) before going running again as you can damage your lungs otherwise...be careful before rushing back into it - you cant lose any fitness in a week :D

Morning - lovely and bright here, although frosty and I had to de-ice the inside of my car :)

Miffed with the Council for overpaying me HB even though I took all my papers in to them - they still managed to c0ck it up so not only will I have to pay back the overpayment, they are reducing my payments by £140 per month.

    Happy days....

Didn't you see my post last night? It's official error, so you DON'T have to pay, that's an official rule. You need to get to CAB (or if you're disabled DIAL) so they can sort it for you. You need to appeal within a month of the letter though, so send a letter saying that as it's official error you have no obligation to pay and wish to appeal the decision on those grounds asap.

Morning all, nothing planned for today, just OU work (I WILL do it this time!).

I've been bad in the past for just stopping a-d's. Only had withdrawal symptoms once, but I'd had awful side effects from it anyway. Now I'm a good girl and take them properly - mainly because this time they're working and don't make me feel ill!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Thanks - I think the cough is more of a tickly one now, coming from my throat rather than my lungs. I'm not breathless doing the school run, and I'm fine running upstairs (as opposed to 2 weeks ago when I had to crawl up on hands and knees, with a couple of rests on the way :rotfl:). I will go to the gym and do it on the treadmill so I can stop any time though, and I wont try to push for a decent speed. :)

It's weird, I haven't had any desire to run at all for the last couple of months, but suddenly I'm dying to get my trainers on.
