Families are all a bit F**ked up Cat, I don't think there is one family out there that doesn't have some kind of incident, history, fruit loop etc!
yep........in my family I am the sensible one:rotfl::rotfl:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
And if you really think your family doesn't have one....it's probably you. :rotfl:
Edit: I don't mean 'you', Sal.
:rotfl::rotfl:
Well today I totally feel like the fruit loop, don't really know what the hell I am doing :rolleyes:I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandad, Squizz. :grouphug:
The autism/MMR debate is obviously quite close to my heart, and I did notice a change in Ryan not long after he had the MMR.
It could be coincidence. I don't think that MMR causes autism, but I don't think there has yet been sufficient research to rule out the vaccine having an impact on the onset/severity of autism spectrum conditions.
Whilst the original report linking them has been (I believe) retracted even by the author, there is a worrying amount of anecdotal evidence, and I think to dismiss that as 'just a coincidence' would be a mistake.
Natasha hasn't had her MMR yet, and I am very, very torn."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

its such a hard one to decide on Snags. I have on one hand though well many children that develop measles etc die and I should just have it done, then I think can you imagine if I had given her the MMR and the same happens (especially at her age now would be very obvious) I would never forgive myself. This is why I have sat on the fence and done nothing *sigh*I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Why did they decide to start immunising against mumps? I had it when I was a kid and it was painful and horrible but does it have possible serious complications?
I ended up having the MMR at about age 13 as I'd missed the rubella vaccination at school and when my mum got round to taking me for it, they were only offering the combined one, although I'd already had the measles vaccination and obviously already had mumps.. and German Measles I thinkDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
i have an autistic nephew... severe end of the scale... he's now 18 and will never leave home. Communicates but his speech is poor... he works in a farm for special needs adults but could never care for himself...
you see pictures of him as a baby and he looks like any other, then after the MMR it was like someone switched the lights off in him... IYKWIM.
My sister isn't anti MMR incidentally..... and i let erin have it.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
