Morning Becky. Hope your coat turns up before you send the otherone else you'll freeze.
Need to pick your brain - have decided to do a half marathon next June and am looking for a decent training plan to get me there in a physical condition to get a good time - where should I be looking (also, what is a good time for a half. My aim for my next 10k is sub 60mins...)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Don't send it Becky till you get your other one.....(although it sounds like it might be out of fashion by the time you get your new one...:rotfl:)
I am gonna do the fly lady list today...I am feeling much better now my Anti D's are kicking in, but I am hoping not to be on them too long.
I have almost done my ironing.....got about an hour to do but its time to get Chloe ready, get her to the childminders and get my days work done..Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Okay so a sub 60 10k is 9:39 mins/mile apply that to a half and your looking about 2:15ish which is 10:20 mins/mile (your times per mile degrade as you go up the distances)...
So I would start with that as a guide and then if you are finding it too easy you can always stretch yourself towards a tougher target (sub 2 is big one for halfs)
You dont need a 'plan' from the net - just sit down and work out how many weeks till your half and how many till the target race and, how many days a week you want to train and which one is going to be your long run day.
Then make one run a faster but shorter so something like 9:50-10:00 mins/mile over 3/4 miles, one a slower but longer so 10:30 over 6 miles and one a long run say 8 miles at 11 mins/mile+ and keep adding to the long run till you hit 15-16 miles say two weeks before your race day0 -

If it doesnt come by lunchtime I'm going out to buy one anyway so no worries - I'll just send the other back :rolleyes:0 -
Morning - lovely and bright here, although frosty and I had to de-ice the inside of my car
Miffed with the Council for overpaying me HB even though I took all my papers in to them - they still managed to c0ck it up so not only will I have to pay back the overpayment, they are reducing my payments by £140 per month.
Happy days....YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

Thanks Becky. Need to get myself sorted because have been slacking on the exercise front recently (although bizarrely still losing weight) Any top tips for winter running?
Have been working in km so far so will either have to sit down and convert what you've said to km or adjust my mindset to think in miles...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Someone (Ames I think) siad last night that you shouldn't have to pay as it was their fault and to go to CAB about it...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Layer up:D, and old socks with the toes cut off are great as gloves because once you get hot you just roll them up your arms
Good about the weight loss too :T:T
Its good to think in miles as the race will be marked that way :cool:0 -

Do you use a treadmill when its icy/snowy out?
Yeah - I think I need to switch to miles. I was focussed on 5k/10k targets before so it was easier to think that way...
I want to run NOW!!! :rotfl:
In other news my lamb and apricot tagine (In SC) smells lush ...
Right of to Mr Ms for bread milk and nappies and then group. Think we're having a surprise 1st birthday for one of the Mums today...
Then home, finish off Hubbles' scarf, complete december food plan and relax26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
