Nigella absolutely does my head in. I tried reading one of her books once and just found it angered me. I kept thinking "come on woman, get to the point" I found that particular book annoying as there were no clearly laid out recipes, and you had to read her jumble to find the ingredients.

I also find her quite aggravating on TV, she really grates on me. The same way Jamie grates on people I suppose and others.:o
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

it's xmas, you put alcohol in everything! There's even scotch whisky in the marmalade I put on my toast on xmas morning!

Seriously tho, I do get your point.
  • I really enjoyed it! The only issue I had is she didn't say how much of the ingredients went in, I know you can look up the recipe after but I like to have a vague idea when I'm watching.

Delia is hilarious, she's fab though
  • We all enjoyed the Delia Christmas Programme last night and didn't analyse it too much, just enjoyed it for what it was. I was not a fan of the 'How to Cheat' series or book until my friend had some lovely chocolate cake and told me it was the recipe from the Cheat's book. I went out and bought it for £6.00. I won't be buying the new Delia Christmas Book, I have the original one I use for a few staples at Christmas. I am planning on making the Nigella 'Scarlet Speckled Loaf Cake' this afternoon, as I bought the Nigella's Christmas book last year and love it!!
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
  • I enjoyed the programme. It wasn't anything like the Cheat series, just some proper cooking.

Has anyone seen the pastry she was talking about-it sounded like filo-brick?
