I wonder if Mr T has noticed the rise in lentil sales????
Because of this thread I have made a meal plan for the month and costed it - it looks like it will come in at about £150 - I am amazed - so thank you to everyone who has posted on here and made it the inspirational, fun and supportive place to be.

Well done mbaz you have prooved it is possible we are having a few lean months here and am lucky to have been a regular poster on weezls thread so have lots of inspiration and now i have yours to look back on too
You mentioned missing snacks I find value tortillas(doritos)ok and peanuts as well are only 20p also popcorn i do buy the micro stuff but it seems to be regularly on BOGOF
Also i noticed lots of lentils but have you tried chick peas? chick pea and potato curry is yummy

I have just read this thread from start to finish and I have to say, its inspiring!
We have another baby on the way so things will probably get a little tight come the new year, and of course Christmas just around the corner.
I have told Dh about this thread and we are going to make a real effort to reduce our food bill. We currently spend around £80 a week for 4 of us - 2 adults and a 6 and 4 y.o. I would like to see that significantly less and now from this thread I can see how it can be done.
