I still can't find the curry sauce in my Mr T's , and it's a huge 24 hour one. I asked a week or so ago where it was after looking high and low, same this week looked all through the indian and chinese sections. I reckon they don't do it ...we must be too posh round here or something. Boo hoo !!
Never mind
Oystercatcher
Me too Oystercatcher!! Searched for this and the sweet and sour sauce couldn't find it anywhere and I knew they would be on a bottom shelf!! Have to go to Ely tonight so I shall try the huge Tesco there, perhaps tonight I won't be too embarrassed to ask for help!!![/quote]

wow! what a thread.
Congrats on this thread, you have certainly inspired me to get my act together and cut down on our food bill.
Have just done an inventory of what we have ( loads! LOL) so I think I shall try to replicate your £20 for a month ( theres only 2 of us, so should be £10 really LOL )
congrats :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::T:T:T:T:A:A0 -
Lollyfin - your spicy lentil soup sounds yum. Wish i'd seen your recipe a few mins a go. I'm just making or should that be trying to make... tomato soup. Its the one i normally make but this time i've decided to chuck in a handfull of lentils. Didnt have a clue how many i should chuck in so will keep my soup simmering n just keep checking it. Might chuck in some chilli flakes too to give it a bit of a kick.
Had an awful month this month, overspent not by loads but as we are on a tight budget its gonna have quite an impact on next months spends. Thankfully i've got quite a lot in the freezer, but hardly any fruit n veg n hardly any tins. Will be taking a look at your meal plan mbaz for some inspiration. Must also take an inventory of what i've got in so i know what i deperatly need to get when i next go shopping. Need to try and keep spends to as little as possible so will start planning next month now. wish me luck i'm gonna need it!!!!£387.39/£196.46

Thanks! To be honest I've only got through it because I didnt have a choice. If I'd have had more money I would've bought more food. There's been times when I've been starving and had nothing in I could snack on etc but I also realise now that I do normally buy a lot of things I dont need. I'm always going to chec cupboards before I shop now to see what I can make from there and do meal plans. I'm also going to try and go shopping later in the day for RTCs and YS (hey I know what that means now!) :j0 -
