I've seen that Ocado have pampers on offer:
Pampers Baby-Dry Maxi 7-18kg/15-40lbs - 88 pack for £8.75 ie. 9.9pence per nappy - almost as cheap as the budget ones.
I think Ocado is Waitrose??? Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone with babies is interested!
Other sizes on offer too
clicky

We traditionally have a "eat the cupboards" month in January, we're always skint, there's loads of food in the house anyway so we avoid shopping and eat our way through whatever is left only buying fresh fruit and a bit of fresh veg. It get's a bit interesting at the end of the month :rotfl: especially when we get to the mystery packages at the bottom of the freezer because I'm carp at labelling :rotfl:Piglet

We should have a competition for most random/inventive meal using xmas leftovers!0 -
on a positive note, as we are all bulking out now, come January are freezer will be laden with goodies and we'll be the envy of all our friends/families
or...we'll all have eaten so much over xmas that we'll all be dieting anyway
oh well 3 empty plates in my house - not much in the way of leftovers, no bombay pots left -OH has claimed them as lunch for tues/weds!!
big pat on my back for the first time in my life i cooked exactly the right amount of rice!
his lordship has told me to make tomorrow's stew "exactly the same as last week" oops no idea what quantities i threw things in :rotfl:
i used the 4p curry sauce tonight - i used it to water down our favourite jar (Loyd Grossman Tikka Masala), i agree it is like chip shop or chinese curry sauce - i also used on my bombay pots which was a big hit, i am wondering if you could use it as a soup base - is it muglitawny that has a kick to it??? any recommended recipes out there?0 -
my fav and OH's will always be cold turkey, mash and pickles, red cabbage etc am drooling thinking of it
another one we all like is turkey plait (don't have proper quanties, it's bung it all in and hope for the best if you get my drift)
left over turkey cut into bite size pieces (or could be shredded)
cheese (your own preference but you could probably leave it out)
mayo
leftover cranberry sauce
walnuts (crushed but again you could leave out)
anything else you fancy
mix it all together and then roll out some flaky pastry (but i am sure you could use shortcrust), plonk turkey mix down the middle and plait, easy peasy and scrum-diddle-e-umptious0 -
As I have posted on another thread lentils are Masoor DAl - so look in Asian food shops or there is a place on line that sells them 2kg for £1.99.0

donnajt you could put the curry sauce in lentil soup, i have a recipe for takka dahl lentil soup that is basically lentil soup with spices in it, its really nicekonMarie and fabbing all the way

lollyfin that sounds lush and the recipe would be most appreciated - no rush whenever you've got time
have researched a couple of mulligatawny soup recipes and i think if used the 4p curry sauce and added coconut milk (have 1/2 tin going begging), stock, shredded chicken, handful of lentils and maybe some spaghetti broken up into weeny pieces and any veg that needs housing pdq, maybe a bit of corriander, i might make it weds for lunch...watch this space0
