Am i the only one thats been having problems with Boots recently?

I went into the Basildon store yesterday and bought 2 soltan starter kits (£4.99 each BOGOF + 150point spit from ACM) was charged £4.99 for both, 2 soltan wipes (£1.35 each BOGOF + 75point spit from ACM) was charged £1.35 for both. Ministry of Sound Pump it up DVD reduced from £12.99 to £7.49 and Real People Magazine for 60p total came to £20.77 and used 75point on £10 spend spit from ACM. Recieved £5 skincare voucher.
Asked the SA why i was charged for all of the soltan products and was told that the products i had bought were not included on the BOGOF went back to check and the signs said nothing about any exclusions and clearly stated that it was all soltan products
Wasnt until i got home i noticed that i only got 250 offer points aswell and that it hadnt included my 75 points on a £10 spend spit

Today i went into the Southend store (no ACM there  ) bought loreal telescopic mascara reduced from £8.99 to £6.99, gripe water £2.49, 2x Tommee Tippee medium flow teats @ £2.49 each, and Tommee Tippee cherry soothers £1.99 total came to £16.45. Didnt recieve a £5 skincare voucher.

Have just phoned customer services who told me that to get my skincare voucher i would need to go back to boots with my reciept i then had to tell him when the voucher expired n that i wouldnt be able to get back there before then so he said he would credit me 500 points to my AC but i need to go back to boots again to get the money refunded for the bogof's that i got charged for

My cousin told me that she heard off another site that you could combine the pregnancy med voucher with the BOGOF med range voucher? Is this true?! I know it was ages ago, but I'll be annoyed if it is!!

does any one think there are guidlines to opening a new thread on boots spare vouchers?
Its a nice idea, but yes there are rules.
You aren't allowed to buy, sell or exchange items on this site. It's all about protecting peoples identity, IE not giving out full names and addresses to people you don't really know.
    Sorry

Just got in from Boots (via WHSmith's buying Marie Claire)

Got the Sanctuary product £7.45 in my store, topped it up with an eyelash curler
    75extra points for £10 spend
£5 skincare voucher for Time Delay.
The shelves are looking bare of Time Delay again!

And I can't believe it, the christmas gifts are being stocked up!!! Some of them have the green stickers on so I presume the never ending 3 for 2 for the Christmas presents will be on again.
  • I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but in both the Hull and Grimsby stores they have been clearing out Cotton Bottoms cloth nappies and accessories. In Hull Boots they had starter kits (nappies, wraps and liners) down from £40.50 to £15, and in Grimsby they had individual nappy wraps down from about £6 to £2 each (various sizes and designs). I use cloth nappies on my baby and bought a couple of spare wraps :) but didn't need anything else - it's a complete bargain if you are planning to use cloth nappies though and need to stock up. Even if you didn't want to use a full Cotton Bottoms system, their wraps are nice and leakproof for spares, and you can't go wrong with their prefold nappies!

My first post, so forgive me if I make any mistakes!

I was in Boots in Edinburgh (Princes St) today, and got some fantastic bargains, including reduced Osh Kosh clothes for children, the free Sanctuary product (with the Marie Claire voucher).

Something which I don't think has been posted so far: they had vastly reduced Swiss Army Knives - the really small key ring ones for 1.25 instead of 10.00, Climber (I think) ones, which were 2.50 down from 15 and the Swiss Army credit cards (lots of tools in a credit card sized card, lol, can't explain it any better than that!) down from 15.00 to 3.75. I got a card one and key ring one - fantastic Christmas presents!

Also, I bought a pack of three mini nail files, not plain ones but with nice patterns on, another stocking filler. I thought they were going to be full price (£2) but they scanned through at 50p

    Bargain :T

 Hi, this is my first post on MSE!

I got a Braun Silk-Epil Easy Start Solo epilator in Boots, Falkirk yesterday for £12.49. I'm not sure what the original price was (I could be wrong but I think Braun Epilators usually start at around £30?) Still, it should save me lots of money on expensive waxing and shaving products, and it hurts a lot less than I'd imagined! :D

The purchase qualified me for a '£5 off skincare' voucher, which I used for Time Delay hand cream, priced £5 exactly. Unfortunately, ALL the Advantage Point machines were 'out of order', so I didn't manage to bag any bonus points!

I managed to get the braun silk epli in kendal today for 13.49, there is another one there if anyone want it, high shel on right hand side as you walk in.

    Hi Charlene :)

It was probably this site! There used to be something in the FAQ on post 2 of the thread. From memory, it was all to do with finding a lovely SA and a little bit of till over-riding on their part!

If you've got the gift of the gab, you might be able to do it. ;)

I remember, few months ago I tried to use these vouchers together, but the SA said it won't work. However, she didn't try, so God knows - maybe it works together  , but it really depends on SA.
  • Morning all, did a bit off boots shopping using quite a few vouchers from the parenting club mag, lady at till scribbled on the back of all of them, swiped my Adv Card, I paid and thought, ang on a mo, that came to more than I was expecting, by the look on my receipt, it seems the SA hadn't swiped my vouchers, (points and money off) I phoned CS and explained to a lovely CS advisor, added that vouchers ranged from 20p - 50 points, and my brain was/is complete moosh since baby came along, so she told me next time i'm in Boots, swipe my ADV card, and some extra points will be applied! "3000" Wooo HOOOOOOO! :T :j
