  • I purchased a No7 item a few weeks ago and hoped to qualify for the free make up bag but didn't realise it was £15 not £12 (I spent £14)

I want to return the item, for a £15 item, but will they just exchange and still not let me have the bag anyway?

Does anyone knows - is it possible to exchange Time Delay (or other product), which I bought with the £5 OFF skincare voucher (so FREE) and didn't like it? Of course, I know, I can say that I paid the full price, but I'm just pry - what's the Boots politics at this point?

Hi Anta, I have done this a few times.
Best to wait until the £5 offer has ended though or its a little too obvious you got it for free!

I usually say my hubby bought it in error and I exchange it for something I actually do want ;)

It doesn't matter what the SA's say about returns of Time Delay as unless they have changed the wording on the packaging theres a money back guarantee if you're not satisfied ;)
I don't think any SA refusing refund or exchange could argue when you point it out, after all its a Boots own item - their words! - although it probably won't stop them trying.

    Good Luck!

Not being funny but your text-talk is hard to read and understand.
  • well the advantage machine in boots on the moor in sheffield hasnt been working for the past week. But had a bit of a mare in there last week.

Needed a concealer, so thought, I'll pay for it with my points. While I was in there, I thought I would treat myself to something with my £5 skincare voucher. Decided on the Time Delay wipes and a St Tropez tan kit, which came to £5.99, so I thought I would use the voucher and pay the 99p.

When I got to the till, she says I'll do them seperately. I thought ok. When I came to pay the 99p, she said no, thats ok. I thought, weird, but ok.

Left the shop, only to think, why didnt I have to pay the 99p? Looked on my receipts and the SA had done this -

199 points off for the concealer
200 points off for the st tropex set
used the £5 voucher for a £3.99 product!!!! So not only I had lost £1.01 on the voucher value, I'd also lost 200 points as well!!! I went back in but she said the transaction had gone through, and couldn't be changed back!

I sent a very stroppy email to CS and got a reply today, they are going to credit me with 1000 points, so thats made my day! :j

I think these vouchers work like the minimum spend ones boots give out - you just get the money off and no points. I got the free Kyphi body butter yesterday (it's lovely stuff!) and didn't get any points, and I think others have previously said the same. You should still have got the points for the mag though, as you say.

  • I got a £20 top up in boots today but didn't get any extra points.
Wasn't too bothered though as AC machine gave me a spend £15 get 100 extra points, buy 2 x mens botanics get 100 points - bought botanics shaving gel reduced to £1.39 also on BOGOF ! , buy boots self tan wipes get 100 points - self tan wipe currently half price at 67p. Also found two £5 vouchers lying on a display stand so got 2 x time delay wipes free - SA gave me another voucher for spending £10 and put through a third packet of wipes there and then as promo ends today !!!

Happy boots bunny - £20 top up, 2 x gels, 3 x wipes, 1 x self tan all for £22 plus £4 odds in points.
