What has everyone been buying with the skincare voucher (that you get free when you spend over a tenner)? Have you been using it to buy something for less than a fiver, or have you been buying something that costs more than £5 and putting money towards it?

They never tracked my orders either. I made 3 orders but since they were all under £1 Im not bothering, although it is annoying isnt it

I've had 2 purchases - had to query 1st but went through in end, second no problem. BUT both were from kitchen shop - none of the shops get double points, free delivery etc. Still, both cheapest place to buy, plus points, plus quidco so shouldn't grumble.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Just had a great trip to boots in chesterfield

Firstly wanted to get the Botanics weekend pack, so picked up a botanics body bar (£0.99), and radiance beauty balm (£2.12) well thats the price on the shelf but it scanned at £1.00!

I'm going on hols in January, so wanted a new bikini, saw a lovely speedo one, but the one in my size had no reductions stickers on it. Took it to the till with my other purchases, and said to the SA the others are marked down to £6 but this one isn't. She marked it down to £6 then the till automatically took 75% off! £1.50 Fantastic!

Then got 4 natural collection / botanics eyeshadows and lipsticks reduced , max price I paid for any item was £1.24 minimum £0.20!

Anyway it all meant that my shop which was going to be over £10 wasn't! I got the lot for £7.12! No skincare voucher, but I'm really not that bothered.

Whilst I was there i did notice that they had loads of stock of kids toys about to go on the reduced section.
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

  • We also had a good trip at the Portsmouth and Fareham stores - only went there a couple of days ago and all clearance items have been reduced further to make way for new ranges.
Best buys was a battery charger, indentical to this one for only £5 - cheaper than buying the batteries alone.
Roc Minesol Bronze self tanning spray 150ml for £3
A pair of framed pictures for £2
Yardley gift pack £2.. the list goes on.
Cashier kindly put the £31 total through as 3 different transactions, thus giving me 3 x skincare vouchers, which i purchased 3 x boots own brand skin cleanser.
The £31 total was a bit of a shock at first, but then again looking at how many christmas presents purchased, I've saved a fortune.

    Edit:
Forgot to add if you're 'with or nearly with baby', then the Fareham store have all baby equipment heavily reduced, things like pushchairs, bouncy chairs with vibrate function, etc

Good to save for chrimbo if you have a girl who likes pink!
  • I bought these about 6 months ago but to be honest they are not all that great in my opinion. I've gone back to using a hair dryer and my old regular remington straighteners again as I get a much better result and it doesn't take much if any longer.

Deefin, you should have been in Corby today! They had 10m of Christmas wrapping paper, packs of 20 gift tags and 20 Christmas cards all 25p each. They had Betty Boop PJ cases for £1. I spent £4.25 and had over £27 worth of goods.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!
