and a New year about to start. So its full steam ahead from here on in for me.
DH back to work today and i have finished my night-shifts this morning, go back January 2nd.
Plans for today.
Check online banking. not sure what i'll find but should be ok.
Sort out my wardrobe (walk in one, well built in one but i can get in and stand and walk around a bit in it) OMG the mess, I toss everything in there.
Maximum spend of £2.00 today for bread and veg, sheperds pie for tea, have the mince and potatoes, freeze the left over instead of giving to the dog.
Take dog for a walk, she realy should be walked more than she gets. Everyday from now on ( i sometimes miss a day or two, dreadfull of me :eek: i know.
I was going to go to take DH to work and use the car but decided "no" I would go the the indoor shopping centre if i have the car. :T

Thanks Red, think Im going the other way now. Turning into a bit of a scrooge/skinflint. I am now measuring my bubble bath out in the cap instead of pouring it in lol

Hi Bloojeans.....sounds like you are still doing well. I felt like a scrooge this morning too when I was cutting up yesterday's roast chicken leftovers ready to make stew, stock, soup, etc, and I cut all the skin & fat into little pieces for the birds as usual esp as the garden is still frozen white and they look freezing - and I thought 'Hmm, I'm not putting bird seed out as well if they've had that'...then I felt a bit mean....it's not scroogey to want to be in control of our spending, though. Just had a look at bank account online and found it's the 2nd year that I haven't started new year in the red, so something about this lifestyle must be working! My 2 big targets this year apart from eating more healthily are going to be saving every spare penny towards a new kitchen as we've patched ours up a lot over the years and it's now falling apart....the old me would have had one already and just stuck it straight on credit without a thought. Also, I really want to get either a reduced payment or a refund from Npower as our energy bills seem very high for 2 people so am being even stingier with gas & electricity. Enough of this....time to get the calculator out. Best wishes for 2010 - you've made such a good start, & yeah, you had to spend your emergency fund, but at least you had one and didn't go onto credit, & that's what emergency funds are for x2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (46/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg

:j:j:j:j:jpayday tomorrow and my current account is not overdrawn by even a1p:j:j:j:j:j. this as far as i am aware a very very 1st.
So I start new month with a clean slate ( apart from my repayments to make). Paying mam this weekend. Sorted out 2 birthday presents for february, and going to get my tax disc online next week, ready for when it runs out end of Jan, usualy i would wait till, 3 days before it runs out and run around trying to find money to get it with.
Foxgloves You sound well organized too. Fab on saving for your new kitchen instead of putting it on your CC. :rotfl:about the birdies, i think they will we glad of anything that comes there way at the moment. I have now reduced my bubble bath from 2 caps down to one :rotfl:such a waste.
Well i am off now to shovel snow and burn some calories off.
