Hiya Red, I am all done and not doing any more shopping. I have spent over my budget for up to christmas but I am still very pleased with myself. From coming on this site and chatting with you all, I can honestly say i have not spent 1p on myself and i have wasted nothing at all compared to what i would do in an ordinary week, never mind christmas. :j:j:j. So I am well chuffed with myself. I was very tempted to buy other presents for DH as I usaly get him 5 0r 6 things. this year he has 2. i know he will be very happy with them as he is very easly pleased and does not ask or expect a lot.

I will have to tighten my belt after christmas. I have not blown my housekeeping budget altogether, but i was never realisticly go to keep to it on the run up to christmas I have £48 of it left. Money in the bank still intact, all bills paid for december, just my council tax to come out around the 28th and 2 weeks rent, Savings and Emergency fund still intact.

Hey bloo, spotted you from your nice comment on my thread this weekend.

I thought I would pop in and say hi... And if you need something to keep you occupied, for free, online (or off, if you've got a printer) try the crossword - the guardian website has all sorts of free ones. www.guardian.co.uk/crossword

Even if you've not done the crossword before, there's a great sense of acheivement when you've finished one!
  • Hiya Tmoose, thankyou for popping in, its keeps me going knowing that some one is there reading and routing for me. That goes for all my new found friends. Well done again in your fantastic achievement. I hope i can post the same in October 2010.

  • Hiya Everyone hope you all had a good chritmas, Well i have had to transfer my saving and emergency money into my current account (£50). Not to pay bills though, thats still intact. Its for two seperate £10 money presents for teenagers and the rest for food and petrol till pay day 8th of January.

I'm dissapointed that i was not able to hang on to my savings and emergency money but at the same time, im am so pleased that this month I will get to payday, with some money still left and all my bills paid. Concidering I bought christmas presents too, I feel i have done quite well, so i am not going to beat myself up about it. I have improved greatly.

I can say, since coming on the this site, taking advice and tips on board, I have not wasted a penny on rubbish. OK ive overspent over the christmas or not realsticaly budgeted for it. But payday will arrive without borrowing any money. :j:j:j.
